If’n you’re looking for a few minutes of nothing much punctuated by someone getting the nonsense knocked out of ’em, this video’s for you:

An explanation:

Disgraced master ‘walks away from kung fu’ after fresh online mockery

In short: a Chinese “martial arts master” got his ass handily handed to him by an amateur boxer. Why? Because a *lot* of martial arts is more akin to dance and ritual than actual fighting. The more “spiritual” you are with it, the more reality is likely to come up and knock you upside the head. And with the bonus that a lot of these “masters” are just schmucks who *claim* to be masters based on… well, nothing much. Sometimes they are charlatans. But often they seem more like cult leaders who have bought into their own BS. And thus they willingly get into a ring with someone with ACTUAL beatyerass skills and get their ass beat. They actually think their nonsense about “energy” and “chi” and assorted babble will actually protect them from someone who knows how to throw a punch or deliver a kick.

History has shown that reliance on spiritualism, the supernatural, God, angels, whatever, doesn’t do diddly to protect you against kinetic energy. As the saying goes, “God helps those who shoot first at extreme range with good large-caliber rifles with excellent well-calibrated optics.” Or something like that.

So, we appear to be on the edge of some potentially very dark times. The probable next administration has massively destructive plans and likely the will to carry them out. The only thing standing against them being able to launch a war of aggression on tens of millions of law abiding Americans is the control of the Senate which will be decided in early January in a pair of run-off elections which are sure to be spectacular examples of election fraud on an unprecedented scale. If those go badly, expect to see the Supreme Court get packed and the basic concepts of constitutional limited government go out the window as, in the words of Chuck Schumer, the worst people in the country “take Georgia and then we change America.”

This is the sort of thing that can make a rational feller a tad depressed. Perhaps not to the point of murdering effigies of political opponents in the streets; that sort of thing is for the party of crazy people. But there is another approach to dealing with the craziness… not depression, not  lashing out in violence, but recognizing clown world for what it is, and joining in on the laughter. This is the approach that seems right to me. In that regard, I am kinda the opposite of the guy who put the below video together. He has assembled a *lot* of clips showing how modern society is promoting flat-out insanity, making clown world literally real; his message seems to be that we shouldn’t accept it, that we should fight it. There is validity there. But how do you fight people who are quite possibly truly out of their minds, being backed up and promoted by people who are *not* crazy, but simply malevolent? I don’t know. But I *do* know that it would fill me with no end of glee if President BidenHarris’ inauguration was populated by a very large group of people who, once heshe started speaking, whipped out clown horns. If their words were drowned out by a sea of laughter wherever they and their idiot policies went.

If there’s anything that authoritarians dislike, it’s being laughed at. If nothing else, it lets them know that they have not beaten you down, that you retain mastery of yourself. So my suggestion over the next few years is laughter. Let “Ha Ha No” be your motto.

I gotta admit this seems strange. All the news coming out with conflicting stories about how well – or poorly – he’s doing, that he’s taking steroids that are to be used only for those CommieCough sufferers whose lung function has been badly compromised (but which screws up the immune system), that his oxygen levels have fallen several times or that he’s doing just great… it’s all a bit odd. I won’t be too surprised if it turns out that a whole lot of lefties become convinced that he didn’t actually have Covid, that this was all a show. Because if Trump wanted to show how tough he was, being in the hospital for like two days then returning to work apparently hale and hearty would be just the way to do it.

Of course he could be feeling as bad as Joe Bidens thought process or Kamala Harris’s policy positions sound, and it’s only the very latest in advanced meds that makes him look like he’s doing fine. That it’s all a show to project strength and vitality that ain’t really there. Well, if that’s a problem for ya, I got one thing to show you:

Because what the United States needed during the Great Depression and World War II was a constant hammering home that the President was as physically weak as his financial policies. Clearly the way to confront dire threats at home and abroad is to depress the hell out of everybody.

Replace the jokester here with the Chinese Communist Party or perhaps even some forty-year-old KGB program that long ago escaped its leash and has been roaming the wild influencing weak-brained leftists for decades… and I think it just might be stone-cold sober reality:

Alternatively: actual modern Russians. But less some devious Russian government operation, and more the Russian equivalent of 4chan, trolling the US left just for teh lulz.

Attorney General William Barr suggests charging violent protesters with sedition

Good. We are *looooong* past the time when people rioting in the streets could legitimately claim that they were protesting some injustice. After the most recent incident of a knife-wielding lunatic getting *justly* shot by a cop in Lancaster, PA, whackaloons took to the street in “protest.” You have to be a grade-A doubpleplusungood moron to not recognize that this is a good shoot of a truly dangerous person:

And that’s jut one. The majority of the cases that people claim to be protesting about, from Michael Brown on up to Jacob Blake, have turned out to be unfortunate but justifiable, even praiseworthy, incidents of police shooting someone posing an immediate threat. We’ve skated well past the time when it’s reasonable to assume that the protestors are on the up-and-up; it’s time to recognize the violent ones for what they are: enemies of the state, the people, the culture who want to just tear everything down and dance on the ashes. Best to stomp them down *now* before they plunge the US into a full-on civil war which will kill millions and will likely lead to the end of western civilization as a going concern.

Gee, when cops are actually allowed to do their jobs, those badasses in Antifa turn out to just be larping weenies.

Prepare yourself for the feel-good movie of the summer:

This whole summer of insanity could have been nipped in the bud if the mayors of Antifa-infested towns had simply allowed their police to police. Around here, the riots lasted… one night, maybe? The night it started, not only did the local cops show up to say “not just no, but hell no,” cops from nearby towns showed up. Cops from another state showed up. The police told the rioting morons that their nonsense would not be allowed and told them loudly enough and with sufficient backup. And what did the rioters do? Tucked tail and went home (after killing a few of their own, because of course they did). There have been threats and rumors since then, the odd door kicked in (one of the comic books shops near me got kicked in, as did the closest thing to a model kit-equipped hobby shop, because of course they did), but nothing like the nonsense in Portland or Chicago.

Watching this and other videos makes it clear that while Antifa and their ilk are certainly ready willing and able to carry out acts of violence and terrorism, they are themselves little more than cardboard cutouts. They truly are NPCs, programmed to make a loud noise and chuck the odd Molotov cocktail, but they largely seem ill prepared to stand up to even halfassed resistance from the good guys.

So a photo came out claiming to show a slide at a “diversity” class at Goodyear, the manufacturer of tires. The slide showed what is, and is not, acceptable political sloganeering on employee clothes during work hours, and it’s kinda remarkable:

In short, according to this slide it is acceptable to show off left-wing slogans, but not right-wing or centrist slogans.

This, rather predictably, caused a bit of a kerfuffle, including a tweet by Trump suggesting that people buy their tires from someone other than Goodyear:

And so Goodyear’s PR people banged out a reply where they claim no ownership of the slide or the diversity “training” session:

And now audio has come out that supports the original story that Goodyear had a policy allowing leftist propaganda, but not centrist or right-wing:

And so now Goodyear has responded *again,* this time admitting that the slide was indeed from a diversity mind control session and that the slide was prepared by a Goodyear employee, but that it somehow does not reflect Goodyear’s positions. Further, they will now allow employees to show support for the police (but apparently not for the radical notion that all lives matter):

Goodyear is of course a private company and thus can crank out whatever rules they like.  But blatantly partisan rules such as these are bound to create strife. Especially when a simpler and far more equitable and fair solution – not to mention one less likely to result in employees beating the tar out of each other – is to simply ban all political expressions on company property. No signs, pins, shirts, hats. Zero, zip, nada. Quick and easy, perfectly legal, completely fair. But no, they wanted to appear woke and *specifically* allowed employees to display support for an organization, founded by Marxists, currently at the forefront of a wave of criminality and misery sweeping Americas cities. How did they think this would work out well for them?

Goodyear may have themselves a problem. But another issue is concerning, and not for the first time: that original image of the offending slide would have been simplicity itself for *anyone* to create with Powerpoint. Post a fake image online, and BOOM, a major corporation takes a shot to the nads. Now in this case, it’s looking more and more like it’s an accurate depiction of an actual Goodyear indoctrination session… but it would be easy to fake. People really should hold their fire for just a little bit just to make sure that they’re not being hoodwinked.
