Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but if people said these sort of things about obama, wouldn’t the Secret Service kinda take notice? What’s the rules and regs about threatening a sitting governor?

I have felt for many years that politics benefited from dueling.
I suspect the law are strictly local, in this matter. Suggesting that someone — in another state — should be killed may be invisible to the victim, legally. On the other hand, isn’t this at very least inciting to riot?
No one will do anything official unless the proposed victim is of a certain mindset. No one official acted on the posters calling for the murder of President Bush.
