First up, the hacker group Anonymous threatens to take down the websites of the Westboro Baptist Church. If anyone is unfamiliar with either Anonymous or the WBC, feel free to check ’em out on Wiki. Anonymous is somewhat juvenile, the WBC is downright insultingly crazy. But when Anonymous decides to go after you, it’s best to take the situation seriously.
But one thing the Westboro Baptist Church ain’t is “capable of rational thought.” So they responded thusly:
Time to pop some popcorn, sit back, and watch the show.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Imagine what would have happened to the NSDAP had no one showed up at the rallies. I’ve seen pathologically-evangelical churches collapse in confusion when they lost their targets and when they lose the attention of those outside the body of believers. Westboro has a lot in common with a woman who is uncertain how attractive she really is but who knows she can get a man by offering sex. It’s fun to watch, but only from a distance.
Oh, *this* should be interesting. I say rock on Anonymous.
Look like it may be a Hoax:

Damn shame it’s a hoax. Fred Phelps…well, “needs attention” is all I’ll say.
I figured it was a hoax by running nmap on WBC’s website. You’d actually have to do extra work on a machine to make it have that many ports open.
