Saw this alongside the highway in extremely north-eastern Colorado. Clearly the northeastern urbanites don’t have a monopoly on “publicly displayed crazy.”
I’ve mentioned these loons before. But we’re now in the final stretch… two weeks until Harold Camping and his band of idiots get to come up with some lame excuse for why everything is still here.

A friend of mine is throwing an apocalypse party that night. Apparently, you can see these billboards all over the country.
If you are going to do something like that, you should set it several years in the future so you can’t be proved wrong so quickly.
I didn’t know that the guy predicting this had earlier predicted it would happen in 1994:

We’ve got those signs up here in New England too. I’m so scared right now.
We’re all going to die!!!!!!!!!!
I was one of these up here in London, Ontario Canada along side the highway. So it’s not limited to the US.

…
or not.
You never know.
Here in Southern California there’s a motorhome with the billboard painted on the side. I saw it, it parked at a place I was eating lunch at a few weeks ago. The man who was driving came through the sandwich place I was at and handed out brochures warning us all of our impending doom. I declined one. The guy really believed in the prediction, I imagine he’ll be disappointed Real Soon Now.
Maybe I should have taken some for collectibles…
Well, judging by the silhouette of the man on the billboard I think it should read:
‘…Dump mightily unto god’
> ‘…Dump mightily unto god’
Is that a good line? Oh, my, yes. Well done, sir!
