  1. Never saw one like that before; the head markings are odd – looks like it has a gap-toothed grin on it.
    What was the wingspan? We have real monsters here in North Dakota that have max wingspans of around 4 inches.
    Watching a cliff swallow and one “dogfight” as the swallow tries to catch it in midair is quite something. 🙂

  2. Wingspan was about 2.5 inches. A bigger one (3.5-4 inch) buzzed by, but didn’t stop to be photographed.
