I start my models in CAD by drawing the cross sections and aligning them then moving them to max to act as the frame work for the model. What CAD package are you using? It almost looks like Pro-E, but it’s been years since I used it.
I’d be interested in knowing what CAD or 3D Modeling program you use.
I use Rhinoceros 3D for most 3D modelling, but good old fashioned autocad for 2D stuff.
