… for a TV episode. From a 1982 episode of Magnum, P.I. “Did You See The Sunrise, Part 2.”

  1. There was no theme music over the credits, and that was the final scene. That remains the only ending that I remember, to any Magnum episode.

    Thanks.

  2. Only Magnum ending I remember too…still sticks with me. I think I was in the third grade and remember talking about it with the guys at school the next day. That just saved me buying the DVD set to see that ending again!

  3. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed Magnum back in the day. I may have to add the DVDs to my wish list…

  4. The new James Bond would have shot that commie SOB before he ever started talking.
Ah, for the grand ol’ days of 007… “Dr. No”:
    “That’s a Smith & Wesson… and you’ve had your six.”… “whish” of a silenced bullet.
Subsonic Walther PPK round, right through the heart.
…and that was the end of _that_ fucker – Bond let him have it in cold blood.
He had no time for witty remarks back then.
The new Bond of course uses his “License To Kill” something like a Platinum Master Card…like he gets free frequent flier miles for every Quantum agent he nails.
But in only 6 minutes, I get to see the coolest Attack Autogyro in all of history again on SYFY network.
    “I love, you, Mr. Bond.”
Time to blow the “extinct” volcano up again with “Tiger” Tanaka’s Gyrojet Rocket Rifle equipped Ninja warriors.

  5. Just kneel…
“We are not worthy… we are not worthy!”
You know, that is a pretty impressive Gemini model they have in that movie… the color of the RCS areas is wrong, but the top of the nose parachute cylinder is very detailed and accurate to the real thing, and they did put the corrugations on the reentry module…and exterior ribs on the rear equipment module, which is more than Revell ever did in either of their models.
I wonder what happened to the original prop?

  6. “Tiger’s” boys are about to hit the place, and by God, you can’t beat that scene any way, shape, or form. 🙂
BTW, if the inside of the volcano base set looks familier, that’s where the Drax shuttles lifted off from in “Moonraker”.*
Drax’s command base was where the really seriously screwed-up attempt to drill a hole into the Earth’s outer core via Tanganyika in “Crack In The World” was based at.

    * That title song was supposed to originally be sung by Kate Bush, but she was was on worldwide tour at the time they were filming it.

Okay, I’ll shut the fuck up.

  7. Yes, it’s time for you to stop drunkposting. You’re become as incoherant as “Dragon.”

  8. Well, if I’m “drunkposting” I at least know that a glass of champagne in the morning adds a sparkle to the whole day.
