As a followup to THIS story about child kidnappers and rapists, here’s a heartwarming tale of intra-cell justice:
Child rapist ‘stamped to death in his prison cell by fellow inmate’
Almost as interesting as the news article are the advertisements. I’ve seen – and commented on – these horrible, horrible things before. Since then, it seems I can’t open a webpage without seeing these ads. Is it because they really are wallpapering the web with ads… or is this some sort of targetted ad campaign using cookies or sumpin’ to throw these ads at me because I once dared to open a link to ’em?

Oh, as as a followup to “Father-Daughter Bonding,” … yer doin’ it wrong.
CSI actor Laurence Fishburne is ‘very hurt’ that his 19-year old daughter is set to star in an X-rated porn movie released later this month. … ‘I view making this movie as an important first step in my career,’ said Montana. She added: ‘I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape. I’m hoping the same magic will work for me. I’m impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities and this seemed like a great way to get started on it.’
Yeah. Good luck with that.

Whaddaya know, justice isn’t dead in the UK after all. Too bad it’s reached a point where the criminals are better at dishing it out than the actual justice system.
Check out this week’s series in the Wall Street Journal on preference tracking software that infests your computer (assuming your computer is now or ever has been connected to the Internet). Yes, you are seeing ads because the trackers are storing your preferences and keystrokes (and pauses between keystrokes) and sending the info to data mining outfits that are trying to figure you out. Bottom line, forget Private Browsing and all of it — not only is there no such thing as privacy on the internet, pretty much everything you do is being broadcast to somebody for some purpose, nefarious or not.

I don’t see these ads because I use Firefox with AdBlocker Plus.
Daddy trained Montana to think they way she does. My daughter did some really silly stuff, too, and much of it was traceable to her interpretation of what I taught her. (Mine didn’t do anything quite like what Montana is doing.)
The former: Good riddance, if they pass the hat for a new pair of shoes for wossname I’ve got some change.
The latter: Firefox + Adblock Plus + NoScript + Flashblock + Better Privacy + Ghostery = a much better browsing experience.
