OK, now this is just weirdo-bizarre. Democrat Congresscritter Bob Etheridge of North Carolina is walking down the sidewalk in DC when a couple of college students point a camera at him and start asking questions (“Do you fully support the Obama agenda”). This is the sort of thing that most politicians eat up with a spoon.

Typical response: “Oh, boy, I get to be on camera!”

So how does Etheridge respond?

Physical assault.

It’s hard for me to explain this behavior without reference, at some point, to “boooooze.”

UPDATE: Etheridge gives a lame attempt at appologizing in a brief press conference:

He says “I appologize” and “no excuse” a lot, but never the best words a man in his position can say: “I resign, asit’s clear that since I’m incapable of lawful behavior in polite society, I should have no role in creating the law.”

  1. I wonder if this is an expression of some sort of Democrat jihad, or perhaps it is to suggest that Etheridge is in approval of violence. Both are aspects of Obama’s background.

Whatever the case, it supports my contention that Islam is the best religion for those who feel inadequate.

  2. Jokes aside, it’s interesting to note that the Rep went bonkers not when he saw the camera, not when someone spoke to him… but when someone asked if he was onboard with the Obama agenda. Something about being linked to Obama seems to have irritated him.

The video is also heavily editted. Hopefully the full version will come out. Perhaps at Etheridge’s trial on assault charges (since he held the one feller against his will, would “kidnapping” charges also apply?).

  3. i think we aare seeing the begining of a meltdown for the dems. its about them not thinking we the people are paying attition.

  5. The video was from 2 cameras: the one the congressman knocked aside, and another being held by a second individual. The unedited footage can be found on breitbart.tv

I’ve seen some dems trying to stick up for the congressman, saying things like, “the kids never gave their name” and “ambush journalism, how cruel.” But the congressman assualted them from the get-go, not after they refused to give their names. If the idiot didn’t want to answer the question, he should have just walked away. Besides, who wants to expose themselves to the sort of commentary that the guy who recorded Helen Thomas got for his pains (go back to the ovens).
