Remember a few days ago I mentioned that I’d seen Mark the cat and this new female cat out backl making the cat-with-two-backs several times in one day?
Well, I’ve spent the last couple of weeks slowly getting closer to her (via the universal bribe for cats… food). Today she finally was calm enough with me that I was able to slowly reach out and grab her by the scruff of the neck, pick her up and pet her. I turn her over to scratch her belly, and I made a discovery:
“She” and “her” are not exactly accurate words in this case.
Ummm.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but now I’m a tad confused.
I guess that makes Mark…

Oh dear….. lol
Ok, well… I mean.. at least Banshee (our “alpha-male” sortof) has an excuse… he’s 16 frigging years old and probably can’t even TELL at this point which cats are male and female…
Hmmmm….
Randy
I previously had two rabbits that were the same way… Only they were both girls.
Well, that certainly explains the odd “mating” position.
Remember, this was one of the things I suggested could be the case.
Mark did about the ultimate dominance display on it…or…this is some sort of deviated prevert male cat that leads other male cats astray, and that scruffy white one that was hanging around it before Mark was returned to the wild is now undergoing some sort of therapy with a Christian cat group to bring it back on the straight and narrow in regards to engaging in the Sins Of Sodom.
You keep Mark far away from this “Shemale” cat, lest he ends up wearing a jeweled collar and purring with a lisp. 😀
Seriously, the male cat may have learned this odd behavior pattern as a means of avoiding injury in a cat fight among males, by confusing them about its sex to avoid aggression.
Pat is right, dominance. Since he could not make Fingers bow down he found somebody he could. Good for Fingers!!! She DaBitch. Readthin has a problem, me thinks.
Remember kiddies…when visiting merie ole England, do not drink their “wota;” its got something wierd in it, er wot? if you drive cars and especially motorcycles, you are in for one “bad-hair” day!
