  1. Clearly that squirrel is lookin’ for a handout, not a hand up. Sorry, could not resist.

  2. Is the squirrel The One?

Indeed. There were “do not feed the critters” signs everywhere, but obviously, the squirrels live well off of human generosity.

  4. They look tiny compared to the squirrels we have up here, which are at least twice that weight.
I imagine asking people not to feed them in a national park is a lost cause.
The critters that were overfed were the prairie dogs that I saw as a kid; they had coin operated food dispensing machines right next to a prairie dog town, and the things were so fat that they more crawled than walked around.

  5. My wife and I discovered that Europe has “punk” squirrels… That is they have a raised “ridge” of fur along thier spines that REALLY resembles a mohawk, and a rather aggressive “FEED ME!” attitude.

Once a lady was getting ready to take a picture when the thing jumped off the picnic table, ran to where she was standing, up one leg, down her arm, up the other arm, down her back and back up on the table with its back to her. It then refused to turn around until she offered it some food…
