He cannot speak coherently and his arms and hands often move in an uncontrolled fashion.

THIS is why the legal system is such a mess and needs to be reformed. Start by permanently disbarring 90% of the lawyers and district attorneys. Who the hell would honestly think that a guy who can’t control his hands due to brain damage is worth taking to court because he may have smacked someone in the keister?

Why would anyone hire a lawyer who can’t really communicate? How would someone like that get into, through, and out of college? If he can’t do anything by himself, why was out in public?
This is a epic fail on so many levels I’m going to walk away from it now.

I’ve been pondering that as well. Supposedly he can communicate via email, sorta like Steven Hawking. But at best, his communications would be sloooooooow. My guess is that he is a psychological weapon; he comes rolling in, and the opposition feels bad. Or something.
In Italy the legal system is far worst, usually take the innocent and set free the guilty….
If you read an English version of Italian newspaper you will discover that really often crimes are commited by people preoviusly judged for guilt and never been in jail for that.

Not meaning to trivialize any of this, but what does the name Cheecho mean and where does it originate? My usual source, behindthename.com, lists nothing closer than an Igbo name (Chukwu or Chichi). But a bit of reea4ch shows that the alleged perp is really named “Hippocrates.” Greek, it seems, totally.
The only Greeks I remember encountering are the girl in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and Popi, who was about five years younger than I and possessed of the most perfect hair and figure I ever saw. (Until I met Pat. And Linda.)
