That is f**ing cool!!!! I have watched various eagles fishing along the Allegheny and Clarion rivers, and Redtails hunting. Even got to see a sparrow hawk take a bluejay in midair, but those pics are awesome!!
If a bird is not used to being hunted by another bird, it might not check for such things, or it might not have evolved a proper response to the situation… just ‘fly straight real fast.’

Doesn’t say much for the observation powers of the starling that the eagle could sneak up on it from behind like that.
