Watch THIS, and let me know if Obama’s claim that employer’s health insurance premiums will drop by “three thousand percent” makes any damned sense to you. It sure as hell doesn’t to me.
If your bill drops by fifty percent, that means it’s cut in half. If it drops by one hundred percent, that means you owe nothing. If it drops by two hundred percent, that means that they now owe you the full value of the bill. If your bill drops by one thousand percent, then they owe you nine times the value of the bill.
If a health care premium bill drops by three thousand percent, then doesn’t that mean that the health care insurance company now owes you twenty-nine times the value of the premium? What the hell sort of business model is that?
No insurance company would or could stay in business if they had to pay you in order to insure you. Thus this is a tacit admission on Obama’s part that he plans to put the insurance companies out of business, as he previously claimed he wanted to bankrupt the coal industry. And when that happens… well, gosh, I guess the government will have to step in and just take over, won’t it.
I guess the only other point of view on this is that Obama is a moron when it comes to math, and simply didn’t understand what a “three thousand percent” decrease actually means. Anyone want someone that dumb in charge of the health care industry?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I think he meant the bill for free loaders will drop by 3000% because he’s going to tap the wallets of the productive members of society to cover them. Big win for deadbeats while productive members of society get fleeced once again. Gotta buy those votes somehow I suppose, may as well be with other people’s money.
That was BizzarObama in the real world he mean’t it’d increase by 3.000%
My guess is that that was supposed to be “three thousand dollars”.
Employers’ health insurance premiums will vanish totally, everyone will be on their knees begging the Democrat Party to allow them to go stand in line to get a ticket for the lottery to choose who gets to see a doctor, and then they will be on their knees begging the Democrat Party to allow them stand in line to get a ticket for the lottery to choose who gets to receive pharmaceuticals.
Y’all get the idea, its all about cutting costs, by refusing to let Americans have any healthcare at all.
Or he was talking to the innumerate masses who have no idea what “percent” means and don’t care.
I was hoping it was just stupid rhetoric, but he sounded like he was actually serious when he said it. Wow. That’s nearly as bad as the “57 states” gaffe.
“politics are getting in the way of actually getting it done”
I’d actually say that basic philosophy is getting in the way of getting it done. But that’s just me.
“deregulating the industry is the ‘fox guarding the henhouse’ version of reform”
Well, actually it’s the “letting people buy insurance where they want” version of reform. For example, people have been whining about th 39% premium increase for Blue Cross in CA. But if you drop the restriction against health insurance companies competing across state lines, suddenly that’s not a problem anymore because Californians can go somewhere else.
Empty rhetoric man. Not that I have to do much work to discredit him here.
Why can’t I buy health coverage the same way I buy auto or home owner’s or business related coverage? Who is it that has made that illegal? What is their Party affiliation? Their overall political ideology? What is their personal profit in screwing several hundred million people? And why won’t they answer these very simple questions?
> My guess is that that was supposed to be “three thousand dollars”.
That would sound less nuts. However, I suspect that one of the fallouts of this passing might be that the employers premium will drop by 100%. Why pay to insure your employees when you can simply tell ’em to hop on Obamacare?
“Why pay to insure your employees when you can simply tell ‘em to hop on Obamacare?”
I’d laugh it it weren’t so sadly true.
Barack Obama along with all his progressive mafia should really be embarrassed with themselves. Furthermore this is a complete outrage. I seemed to be under the perception that once the president takes office he is required to make an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of the us. Nowhere within the Constitution does it give the federal government the right to enact or impose laws and regulations such as the health reform bill. It’s my opinion that these power mongers shall be in for a genuine shock in November. Best wishes over the collapse of your political career.
