Michel Van says: December 23, 2009 at 12:54 pm ood that a Titan IIIC without transtage. is this a early design of MOL ? Pat Flannery says: December 23, 2009 at 6:23 pm Yeah, the apparent lack of a transtage is odd, although this photo shows the checkerboard paint pattern is at the base of the transtage, not the MOL itself: http://space.skyrocket.de/index_frame.htm?http://space.skyrocket.de/doc_sdat/ov4-3.htm But that doesn’t agree with the external conduits on the MOL/second stage in the painting. admin says: December 23, 2009 at 11:03 pm > is this a early design of MOL ? Yes. It does show a transtage, but it appears terribly foreshortened. The two reddish squarish blobs just forward of the checkerboard are two of the four RCS units projecting out the side of the transtage. Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
