Took this shot a few months back in rural Illinois. The turbines were actually turning at a pretty good clip.
While these are, sadly, not nuclear powerplants, it’s still nice to see additional power generation capability being installed.

I maintain that water-driven power sources are the most practical in terms of pure engineering, but these wind turbines are miracles of design, engineering and manufacturing.

I think I flew over that windfarm once, when I was flying from Chambana to O’Hare on my way to San Diego 🙂
