I may be a little unavailable over the next little while (good and vague, eh?). So in the meantime, I’d like to satisfy my curiosity on one point: if you are a regular or semi-regular reader of this blog…. why? Please post a comment. Is it:

1) Aircraft projects

2) Spacecraft projects

3) Landscape photos

4) Cats

5) Political yammerings

6) Something else

  1. Yes.

  2. OK, ok. All of the above. I found you through the vegan cat torture post, and never left.

  3. I like all of it!

  4. Mostly the politics; you’re a good source of conservative news in a world where non-crazy conservative news is hard to find. Of course, the best way to disseminate news would be to simply report the facts and keep the biases in the editorial and opinion pages, but most of our newspapers don’t seem to be very good at that these days.

Not to say that the pics and cats aren’t cool, just that by themselves, they wouldn’t be enough to keep me around.

  5. 1 – 5

  6. To follow your personal story, because you are articulate and because you spent the time to do this: http://www.up-ship.com/blog/apr/2001/ssvsize.htm

  7. Politics and cats……….in no particular order.

  8. I find your interests and perspectives very similar to mine…albeit much more effectively articulated. 🙂

  9. 2) Spacecraft projects, mainly

  10. I read each day this blog !

    1 Aircraft projects & 2 Spacecraft projects
you get stuff here never seen bevor !
I have Deep respect for “the Lother Archive”

    3) Landscape photos
i really star to love U.S. Landscape true this blog

    4) Cats
    THEY SO CUTE

    5) Political yammerings
I dont need that White House Propaganda,
wana know wat the U.S. Citizen think about there U.S. politic

    6) Something else
    Hell yeah bring it on,
like this (for my german point of view) U.S Insanity
“Children Exposed To Porn May Expect Sex To Be Enjoyable”
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4kwk5jV2nU&feature=player_embedded
    and
“pissed off as hell obama needs to be inpeached” (if you understand that guy)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCvkatCGNFY&feature=player_embedded

  11. > like this (for my german point of view) U.S Insanity

Ummm… this is from “The Onion…” which is a satire/humor/fake-news site. It’s not real.

However, it *looks* real. Many “Onion” stories have been picked up by news outlets aroudn the world and passed off as Real News, much to the embarassment of the news organization when they found out they’ve been had.

  12. 1 and 2 mostly. Sometimes 3 and 4. 5 occassionally.

Also to see if you are releasing new drawings, etc on Up-ship.com or a self produced model of a subject I am interested in.

  13. My preferences in order:

    Aircraft projects. My main interest.

Landscape photos. And I would like to know how you stitch those panoramas together with invisible seams and no parallax errors. You have some superb scenery in your part of the world.

    Spacecraft projects.

Cats. Some are pretty cute but I wouldn’t go to your site just to look at felis catus.

Politics. Uhmm. But I suppose that you have different problems on your side of the pond.

    Mike

  14. For me it’s 1 and 2. I’ve been checking out up-ship for a while but just found the blog the other day (don’t know how I missed it). The drawings are something that just can’t be found anywhere else and I’m really glad that there’s someone like you out there doing this kind of research and putting it out there. Thanks!

  15. Airplanes and rockets, specifically high-speed flight and BALV (Big-Ass Launch Vehicles). The other stuff is fun to read as well.

  16. 1 through 6………

  17. I like the aircraft and spacecraft info. Also like the landscape pic’s and the political angle.

    I’m not a cat guy.

  18. I enjoy it all, but 1 and 2 are what I haven’t seen being put out anywhere else on the web, it is what makes you unique.

  19. 1, 2, 4

  20. I read for the politics and spacecraft. And the cats. I can’t forget the cats.

  21. Came for the vegan cat torture, stayed for everything else.

As someone else mentioned, I find it highly refreshing to find non-insane conservative commentary filled with sources and nary a wild-eyed scaremongering speculation.

  22. I read for the spacecraft and aircraft projects. Reading your blog acquaints me projects I never would have run across. Thanks and keep on posting.

  23. In order of importance…

I find the aircraft proposals you dig up very interesting.

    The space program nice.

    The political articles amusing.

The landscape and night photography make a good escape from my work cube.

    Keep up the good work

    peace

  24. All of the above. Although I disagree with a lot of your political drivel I do find it amusing. 🙂

The aircraft and Space stuff is awesome.

Also since I am one of the guys doing the production (read casting) many of the masters you create I like to hang around here.

    I love cats too.

You landscape photos are beautiful since I live in a pretty flat part of the continent.

  25. Mainly the aircraft and space projects. I also enjoy and agree with your political drivel.

  26. 1, 2, and 5. Most blogs just re-post and link to stuff found elsewhere on the web, but your aerospace projects posts actually contain content I won’t find anywhere else.

  27. 1 to 5 in varying degrees, but mostly 6, where I define 6 as “the wry wit”.

  28. 1 and 2 for sure

the rest is just background fun

  29. 1 and 2, though I occasionally find myself diving into the political stuff.

  30. Semi-regular reader, but becoming regular. Priorities: (1) politics, (2) spacecraft projects, (3) aircraft projects, (4) cats. The photography is just too good to be rated with the rest. Frequently, “cats” goes to (1), though, because I believe cats are the pinnacle of evolution and a lot more civilized than any politician. I will take a cat with me to Mars.

  31. Spacecraft projects.
    But the cats are nice.

  32. Spacecraft projects

  33. 5,1,2 in that order.
You somehow find political links I’ve missed and you express opinions without getting aliens and Nazi plots involved.

The planes and spacecraft are just plain interesting.

Burned out on cute cat pics years ago, and landscape pictures bore me. (Though I understand that I am a minority, at least until the cat craze lessens and the next fad kicks in. Maybe it’ll be something interesting like 6-foot earthworms…)

  34. 1, 3, 5 & 6 in no particular order. I appreciate your conservative views and the links you provide that I likely would not come across myself. Aircraft and projects are always of interest and even the spacecraft related info you post is interesting. I appreciate what you share in regards to photography and the landscapes are simply great. I’ll indulge you the cats!

    Don’t stop posting… Mark

  35. Spaceships, Aircraft and Politics.

  36. I’m visit the blog three to four times per week

    99% unbuilt aerospace projects
    0,75 % beautiful landscapes
    0,25 % political comments

  37. Aircraft projects followed closely by spacecraft projects.

  38. All of them, but rated

    1.) Aircraft
    2.) Space
    3.) Politics
    4.) Cats

    Keep going!

  39. I read it to see what Scott has uncovered next! Old and forgotten space-art, aircraft, spacecraft, and other programs that had previously been filed away somewhere… Cat pics and updates on the political going’s on around the world. New and interesting rants on various subjects. Cool models…

Really? Where else could a “geek” like me hop onto at 7am to get my daily “It’s an Odd World after all…” fix?

Besides… where better to start rumors such as you going to dress Rad up as Wolverine, put one of those “four-point” wrap-around harness’ on him and taking him around trick or treating… All LIVE on you-tube!
(Will that also include the mandatory hospital visit? :o)

  41. 1) Aircraft projects

    2) Spacecraft projects

oh, i see 5) is politics, i thought it was comedy?
