Yup. Fingers had a brief vet visit today; her recovery has been proclaimed “remarkable.” The approx. 2X2 square of skin missing from her neck has been reduced to a scab about 1/4 inch in diameter. She’s gone from looking like a zombie with exposed muscle tissue and tendons (bleah!) to a cat witha shaved neck and a small, basically trivial little wound.
Imagine if you had a ful quarter of the skin carved off your own neck, and the result was a scar the size of a nickle.
We need to not put Obama in charge of health care, but cats and vets. They’ve clearly got a better handle on it.
Fingers goes back to the shop on Monday to get “fixed.” A few days later, most of the kittens will hopefully find new homes when I take ’em to the local grocery store with a “free kittens” sign. A friend has requested two of them, so they’ll get a good home. And once the kittens are cleared out, Fingers will go back outside.
I gotta figure out what to do with the freakin’ *army* of minimally-civilized cats I have hanging around out back, though. Winter’ll be coming.
I’ll try to send you a pic of KittyKat. He sliced his bad self open on a piece of sheet metal, across the left side of his abdomen. Didn’t go into the belly, just peeled the skin back, about 9 inches long, 11 stitches. This is about his 14th life so far.
Is that Finger’s litter?

[…] sort of a followup to this, here’s another vid of the kittens demanding food. But with better […]
