Recently declassified as a part of the Holy Land Foundation trial is this PDF file giving the original Arabic and an English translation of “An Explanatory Memorandum On the General Strategic Goal for the Group In North America,” dated 5/22/1991. It is, in short, the “master plan” for the conversion of the West to Islam (“Settlement”). Well, whoop-de-do. I suspect many such master plans exist, including more than a few Christian plans for the conversion of the non-Christian world. So why is this interesting? The Muslim Brotherhood is not some small group, but a large blanket organization that includes most of the national Islamic organizations such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means. The
Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and
destroying the Western civilization from within
and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their
hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious
over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and
have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work
wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that
destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be
equal.

The bulk of the memo details the importance of setting up innocent-seeming benevolence organizations, school clubs, “rights” organizations, etc., all the better to destroy Western society from within.

Can we see anything like that occuring? Welll… hmmm. Let me think:

Ontario boosts rights protection

That sounds nice, doesn’t it? I mean, who wouldn’t want more protection of rights? Well… let’s look at some of the details:

1: If you want to file a complaint against someone – and in Canada, this can be for as trivial an issue as them saying something you simply don’t like –  you can now do it for free, with taxpayer-funded legal aid. On the other hand, the defendant gets no such aid, and must pay for a lawyer.
2: Instead of going through a review process, complaints are brought directly to the tribunal.

3:  There used to be a cap of $10,000 for “mental anguish.” Cap is now unlimited. Additionally: ” The law also outlines that individuals can now be compensated for injury to dignity, feelings and self-respect.”

Let me repeat that: “individuals can now be compensated for injury to dignity, feelings and self-respect.”

If I hurt your feelings, you can easily sue me for millions of dollars.

These tribunals have the force of law behind them. But they do *not* have the right of appeal. They also have a nearly 100% success rate – in other words, every decision these tribunals have made (except one) have come down in favor of the complainant.

In short, anyone can file a complaint against anyone else for “mental anguish,” and stand a good chance of not only winning the case, but winning large sums of cash. Since the government pays for you to do this but doesn’y bill you if you lose, there is no incentive *not* to do this. The most famous case to date is the case against Mark Steyn and Macleans magazine for publishing a series of articles that various Canadian Islamic organizations decided they didn’t like. This case started to make international news, with condemnation coming in form all corners… and, perhaps amazingly, came down on the side of free speech. However, given that Macleans had to spend a fortune on lawyers, while the complainants didn;t have to spend a thin dime, “free” speech seems to be gettign a mite pricey.

Expect to see more complaints of this kind. If I were Canadian, I would fully expect that this blog posting could well merit a complaint. And since I can’t afford high-priced lawyers, I’d probably lose. Fortuantely, though, I’m not Canadian. So I have the right to tell Muslim organizations that want to detroy Western civilization to kiss my ass.
