Regular folk & critics… not really seeing eye to eye on “Venom.”
Maybe because “Venom” doesn’t have a morally upright hero? I dunno. People seem to like the movie… unless that person is a critic. Then they want to go see “A Star Is Born,” which, according to a review I heard on the radio today, features a main character whose life is in decline and then we get to see him spiral down the toilet as his life is destroyed by bad decisions and drug abuse. Oh, goodie. Nah, I think I’d rather see the flick about the space monster that bites bad guys heads off.
