Grace Lee Whitney, Janice Rand of “Star Trek” dies at 85
From what I’ve read, her tale was a particularly sad one in the years after her abbreviated stint on Trek. Perhaps there is an alternate reality out there somewhere where she remained on the Star Trek cast throughout the original run, and wound up – as was apparently the original intent – with Captain Kirk.
