Yep. And, amazingly enough, everything was still there… except for money. Soon as I crossed the border from CA into AZ, the price of gas dropped from $2.99/gallon to $2.37/gallon. And I’ll note that the extreme price differential has *not* caused traffic on CA’s roads to disperse.
CA, and especially its roads, gave me an uncomfortableness. It is a state with some damned beautiful places; it’s just a shame that those places have to be in CA.
Very likely soon to be a ghost town. Also, I attempted to visit, and found that it is far more public-intolerant than it was when I last visited in 2004.

Good for a visit or two, I suppose.

There’s, what, a few hundred bucks gone in an hour or two. Pretty much sums up the Bay Area….
The SF Bay area is fine for a visit, but it’s simply not a livable region. And LA…. yeesh. That place is actively evil. The surfaces of the roads themselves made it quite clear that they hate you.
Update from the blimp tours website:
” Pricing from $375 per person plus taxes when two people book together. 60, 90 and 120 minute flights available!”
Did you check to make sure you still had your socks and underwear?

Say what you will, but the Bay Area has (besides fog) NASA Ames, the USS Hornet (with space capsules) and a blimp running commercial tours.
