Nearly done modeling the Orions. Today I got the 20-meter NASA vehicle modeled, and futzed around a fair deal with colors and such. One last Orion to model, and I’ll be finished with this part of the effort.
Scott;
Just as an FYI, second row extreme right/left Orion reminded me of a discussed concept configuration that made the rounds of an email group I subscribe too. Someone had just posted a Orion Mars mission vid on YouTube and the comments on launching the vehicle with a dozen or more SRBs. (Near this HUGE glass windowed building at that :o)
Anyway I made mention of imagining something along the lines of an “Orion/ROTON” hybrid that managed to keep the thread going for another week or so. Mostly in horror of trying to intergrate the two :o)
(ROTON with rocket powered rotors can’t scale that high unfortunatly, made and interesting thought picture though :o)
