On display at the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Nebraska, the now-cancelled stealthy cruise missile.

One Response to “AGM-129A stealth cruise missile”
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
It wasn’t “canceled” as such… it did do many years of operational service, but has now been withdrawn for some unstated reason that no one can figure out. Maybe it was unreliable or difficult to maintain. The early test models apparently had a tendency to tumble out of control at launch.
It’s interesting to see the ventral NACA scoop air intake on it, as that was also used on the Matador and Mace cruise missiles of the 1950’s and 60’s.
