Here’s a good idea: if you were involved int he British rioting and looting AND you are getting your housing free from the taxpayers… get ready for a change of scenery:

First rioter given eviction notice

A council tenant whose son has appeared in court charged in connection with Monday night’s disturbances in Clapham Junction will today (Friday) be served with an eviction notice.

The tenant is believed to be the first in the country to now be facing the prospect of losing their council-owned home as a result of Monday night’s rioting and looting.

Wandsworth Council has acted immediately in the wake of local magistrates courts hearings to instigate tough action against tenants or members of their households who were directly involved in the disturbances

“Council housing” is, I believe, the chav-equivalent of the PJ’s. Crappy warehousing of people who have been bred and trained to be wholly dependent upon government handouts. Booting the rioters and those responsible for them out into the cold, cold world seems like the very least that can be done. Permanently eliminating them from ever getting another penny of taxpayer welfare would be another good step.

The difficulty of course is that you now have a whole army of people with no skills, no sense of self control, no concept of ethical behavior, a massive sense of entitlement and suddenly nowhere and no way to live. This is a recipe for even more trouble. But, like I said, you have an *army* of these idiots. Kick ’em out onto the streets. keep an eye on ’em. The moment they break their very next law, nab ’em and toss them into Her Majesty’s Own First Royal Chav Batallion. Give each of them the standard substandard one-day training, a chrome plated Glock and a free ride to Afghanistan. Let ’em romp and play in the mountains with their intellectual and ethical equivalents, the Taliban.

  1. A chrome plated Glock? Too generous, methinks.

Perhaps equip them with a licence built version of this: http://world.guns.ru/assault/usa/trw-lmr-e.html

    • Ain’t flash enough.

      • On the other hand, the budget available for equipping and supplying Her Majesty’s Own First Royal Chav Batallion will be strictly limited. Although, at least there will be plenty of dodgy gear in stores (such as boots) to fit them out with. 🙂

        • Come to think of it, given the probable number of ‘recruits’, Her Majesty’s Own First Royal Chav Brigade (Light) might be a better fit as a name for the new formation.

  2. Council housing isn’t low quality, the reason that there isn’t enough left is they were good enough to sell off in the 80s. The offenders should be subsistence farming on uninhabited Scottish islands.

    • > Council housing isn’t low quality

Then why’s it free? The government should *never* give away for free something *good* that the private sector can offer. Otherwise you disincentivise people from working to afford the good stuff themselves.

My suggestion: the BritGuv should buy up all the crapped-out FEMA trailers from NOLA. Use *those* as their new chav-housing.

      • It isn’t free. However, the unemployable underclass get ‘housing benefit’ which (mostly) covers their rent, and because 95% of them are scum, private landlords won’t accept them as tenants. End result is, the concentration of wasters in the council estates goes up, it becomes a less desirable place to live and the people with honest incomes go somewhere else, thus depriving the chavs of what positive role models they still have. You can occasionally find a council estate where this hasn’t happened, and they’re not bad places to live.

  3. Where’s a huge empty island to send convicts when you need one?

    • P.S. And yes, I know there were and are aborigines on Australia. That doesn’t change the fact that a nice, big, empty island would be a very useful thing to have just now.

    • Manhattan?

      • I don’t think it qualifies as big. Or empty.

        • Current population of Manhattan is in the multi-millions, so there’s lots of space there for a whole lot of chavs. “Empty” can be taken care of. Just nationalize the whole place and call it one gigantic “council housing project.”

          *For* *The* *Children.*

    • I have doubts a repeat of the Australia experiment would work as well today. Great Britain had a better class of criminals back then. Then again, a rash of decent behavior might break out if the law didn’t protect villains from victim.

      • “a rash of decent behavior might break out if the law didn’t protect villains from victim.”

I’m sorry, but you made me remember this:

“But when a society establishes criminals-by-right and looters-by-law–men who use force to seize the wealth of DISARMED victims–then money becomes its creators’ avenger. Such looters believe it safe to rob defenseless men, once they’ve passed a law to disarm them. But their loot becomes the magnet for other looters, who get it from them as they got it. Then the race goes, not to the ablest at production, but to those most ruthless at brutality. When force is the standard, the murderer wins over the pickpocket. And then that society vanishes, in a spread of ruins and slaughter.

“Do you wish to know whether that day is coming? Watch money. Money is the barometer of a society’s virtue. When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion–when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing–when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors–when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you–when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice–you may know that your society is doomed. Money is so noble a medium that it does not compete with guns and it does not make terms with brutality. It will not permit a country to survive as half-property, half-loot. ”

Not strictly to deal with physical looters of course, but you can’t deny that the words aren’t prescient, or that Britain is vanishing in a spread of ruins and slaughter as the endgame of their economic and fiscal policies. Not because the looters are rioting in the name of keeping their welfare, but because when you treat people like children, you shouldn’t expect them to act like adults.
