It has been Damned Hot here lately, and without AC (hey, electrons cost money), it’s been Damned Hot inside the house. This has had a dampening effect on the boisterousness of the cats, especially Buttons. Unlikely as it may seem, he’s been sleeping even *more* than before, but now he throws himself down in previously unusual locations.
And just for giggles, I tinkered with the colors a bit on one of those photos, bringing out the eyes a bit. Snazzy? Artistic? Creepy? I dunno.

Just like mine, Your brood finds too much heat Catastrophic.
AC is a good thing. There are cheap air conditioners that don’t cost a lot to operate.
I love how you get some of these photos….zoom lens maybe?
He’s obviously got a really deep depth of field, so must be using a high f ratio.
These were captured with the basic lens that came with the Nikon D5000 camera. I have used a zoom lens from time to time.
I vote for snazzy-ish.
I feel awfully sorry for the cats; would some bowls full of ice water help them out?
I found a stray many years ago when still at home with healthy parents. Not aloof at all–a very loving cat.
He went to sleep on the arm of a recliner. I awoke the next morning to find him gone. When my folks went to pick him up, he was as stiff as a board, or so they said.
