This one aughtta get the UFO-nuts in a tizzy:
On June 19, maritime treasure hunters — who were looking for priceless submerged hooch in shipwrecks — discovered a 60-meter-diameter circle 87 meters under the Baltic Sea. … Next to the circle is a 300 meter long slide track – as if the circle has traveled across the seabed before it has settled

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
It’s the print of the hammer of Thor. There should be footprints nearby.
This remind me of a old UFO story: “Aerial Disc in Costa Rica lake”
in 1971 a official mapping aircraft of the Costa Rican government made a unusual picture:
a huge disk dip into in Lago de Cote

there allot assumption about this picture, if this a fake or not…
If the depression is the aftermath of a depth charge or bomb explosion on the seabed, the “slide track” could be bottom sediment that was blown upwards by it and carried sideways by a current as it settled.
Funny you should talk about Cthulhu…. Charles Stross did a short story where the Nazi’s find a sunken city in the Baltic and recover something from it.
Wiki has a good synopsis of the story with a link to an online copy at the bottom: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colder_war
