A month back I stayed at a motel near Chantilly, Virginia. As I approached the front door, I noticed this lizard hanging out… and when the door opened automatically, it just ran right in to the lobby. Entertainment ensued.

They can give a pretty good bite.
I had a friend who had a pet skink, and it was the most crazy, bad-tempered lizard I ever saw. Once ran across a room and attacked a dog, despite being only around six inches long.
Ended up hanging in midair attached to the dog’s nose by its teeth while the dog howled and tried to bite it.
