Jeff Conaway, best known (to me, at any rate) for playing security chief Zack Allen in the Nobel Peace Prize winning TV series Babylon 5, seems to have just about run his course. It seems that after a number of years abusing drugs, he finally overdosed on painkillers and went into a coma he’s not expected to wake up from. DETAILS.
That Babylon 5 reunion movie is looking less and less likely.

Damn shame, that. I quite enjoyed his work on B5 as well as the whole series. I suspect they could write him out of the reunion movie (“Absent Friends!” and all that) but it would feel a bit strained. Still, I most certainly hope they do produce such a movie.

Allen and Franklin not being there would be “strained.” G’Kar not being there would be freakin’ tragic. And unless they CGI him in, and get a damned good voice mimic… G’Kar ain’t gonna be there.
B-5 certainly had worse luck than Trek did with actors keeling over.
I’m hoping that, in the not too distant future, ways will be found to alleviate back pain can be had without drugs…

Goodbye, Zack.
