A 2004 “Obama for Senate” propaganda video lays out his philosophies. The highlight, IMO:

“We all have a set of mutual obligations towards each other — we are our brother’s keeper, we are our sister’s keeper — and that those mutual obligations have to express themselves through government policies”

The American press is running with the meme that the  “Occupy Wall Street” protestors are a grass-roots, spontaneously-formed, heart-felt and honest response to economic woes, that they are just like the Tea Partiers, just less “bought” by billionaires. Yeah, uh-huh.

Stinking up Wall Street: Protesters accused of living in filth as shocking pictures show one demonstrator defecating on a POLICE CAR

Why yes, there is a photo.

I don’t recall too many stories about Tea Partiers taking dumps on cop cars in full daylight. I don’t recall too many stories about Tea Party events leaving behind mountains of filth.

The Left has been using the “race card” like never before to defend the failed Presidency of Obama. Most recently, Morgan Freeman went on CNN (interviewed by Piers Morgan) to declare that Tea Partiers are a bunch of racists for wanting to get rid of Obama.

Virtually simultaneously, Herman Cain – a black guy, last I checked – won the Florida Republican straw poll.

So once again we’ve got Professional Leftie screaming that white people who support a black guy are racist for not supporting *his* black guy.

Gah.

There are a couple of possibilities. One obvious one is that Freeman is just locked in his own little world, one where actual facts cannot intrude. Another is that he knows he’s lying, and he’s doing so for purely political reasons. Either seems likely to me, but I lean towards the latter. The ability to be *so* closed off from reality would be startling for anyone with access to modern media. And Freeman is, after all, an award winning actor. In effect, he lies for a living. And his awards from his peers show that he’s quite good at saying things that he knows are not true.

I posted a little over two years ago that I thought that Obama’s term in office might bring about the end of racism in this country… not by making America a colorblind land of kumbaya, but by his supporters so overusing the term that it would cease to have any impact. And I think we’re well on the road. Like “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” Obama’s lackeys are so overusing race baiting that I believe – or at least I hope – most people are getting bored with their bullcrap.

When Obama blathered on in his droning “pass this bill right away” speech a  week ago, some of the more observant pundits pointed out that he didn’t actually have a bill to pass. What he was essentially doing was telling Congress, a  body whose express purpose is deliberation, to not deliberate and just wait on their hands and immediately sign whatever steaming pile of legislation he eventually dumped in front of them. His team finally unveiled their little 155 page “American Jobs Act” bill yesterday, but it hasn’t been actually introduced yet (it seems the Obama folks did take it to the House, but none of the House Dems wanted to actually sponsor the thing). Except… the “American Jobs Act,” HR 2911, was actually introduced earlier today.

It’s just not *Obamas* “American Jobs Act.” It seems Representative Louie Gohmert (R, TX) dashed off a two-page bill and got it introduced.

Too slow, Obama, you lost the title.

And what’s in the two page bill? Read It Here. In short, all it really does is cut the ridiculous 35% corporate income tax rate to… zero percent.

Currently, American corporations are sitting on big piles of cash and not hiring or investing in growth. Why are they doing this? A million reasons, but it’s a safe bet that they are simply waiting for the meddling and the threats from this administration to stop, or at least slack off. As Hoover & FDR’s meddling extended the Depression of 1929 into the Great Depression, the current President holding the position that “we must act and act now, there’s no need to debate” is a dandy way to make businesses decide to go Galt for a little while, and just sit back and try to ride things out. Even with a tax rate cut to zero, there probably won’t be much growth until the business community – including banks – believe that it’s safe to take risks again. But once that happens, having a tax rate of zero will cause businesses to pour into the US. A 35% increase in income – not to mention the sudden lack of need for an army of accountants – will be a hell of an incentive.

It won’t pass, though. Good idea though it is, it’ll simply get vetoed even if it does come up for a vote.

Obama’s jobs bill has finally been revealed. All 155 pages of it, all apparently legalese.

Well, at least it’s not the 2500-page nightmare that Obamacare was. It’s short enough that maybe *some* Congresscritters and Senators might actually take a stab at reading it before they vote for it.

… it did not turn out well.

Egypt declares state of alert after Israeli embassy broken into

Egypt declared a state of alert early this morning after a group of 30 protesters broke into the Israeli embassy in Cairo last night and dumped hundreds of documents out of the windows.

The storming of the building came after a day of demonstrations outside where crowds swinging sledgehammers and using their bare hands tore apart the embassy’s security wall. Hundreds of people converged on the embassy throughout the afternoon and into the night, tearing down large sections of the graffiti-covered security wall outside the 21-storey building. For hours, security forces made no attempt to intervene.

I seem to recall a time:

1) The US economy was in shambles

2) The American populace was basically depressed, due to the economy, recent warfare, trouble in the Middle East, sky-high gas prices

3) The US had an incompetent boob for a President

4) A middle-east nation allied with the US had a revolution

5) The leader of that nation was a scumbag, but he was *our* scumbag

6) The US did not aid that scumbag in his time of need

7) The “revolutionaries” swarmed an embassy and caused all kinds of trouble

8 ) The scumbag was overthrown, and replaced with an anti-West, anti-semetic, pro-Jihadi Islamist government. Decades of hijinks ensue.

Gee whiz, I sure hope none of *that* happens again…

The “new tone” continues to improve. Here, Jimmy Hoffa Jr. declares “war” on people who want to reduce the size and expense of government, and apparently calls for their execution: “Let’s take these son of a bitches out.”

[youtube H6gHfhwShhA]

The audience applauds the apparent notion of murdering people who want fiscal responsibility. Obama came out later and declared himself proud to be working with Hoffa.

May 26, 2010: President Obama gives a speech at the Fremont, CA, Solyndra, Inc. solar panel factory, declaring the $700 million facility “is just a testament to American ingenuity and dynamism and the fact that we continue to have the best universities in the world, the best technology in the world, and most importantly the best workers in the world. ”

Obama was there to celebrate $535,000,000 in loan guarantees from the DoE to Solyndra.

And today?

Solyndra to Declare Bankruptcy

Awesome. 1,000 workers have been invited to explore exciting new opportunities in not getting another paycheck from this shining example of the Federal Stimulus At Work.
