I’ve mentioned before that I now live a stones throw from John Deere HQ. Who knew that I’d park myself right next to a primary target *again*?
A few days ago I posted a video that explains Putins hatred of the known universe, showing how he came to start his little war. Now we see that the same will happen with Gropey Joe.
Keep him away from The Button.
… well, maybe not.
So a security guard sees two suspicious characters head into a convenience store, decides to follow them in. As he approaches the door, he sees them climbing over the counter, sticking a gun in the clerks face. So the guard mosey’s on in, *promptly* shoots the bad guy with the gun, then plugs the other bad guy for good measure. And then he drops the sort of one liners Hollywood *wishes* they could write:
Bad Guy 1: “It’s fake! It’s fake!” (they used a fake pistol for the robbery)
Guard: “Oh well. Mine’s is real.”
Bad Guy Two: “Am I shot?”
Guard: “Oh ᚠᚪᛣᚳ yeah.”
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Just Some Guy’s take on it. He’s not wrong.
Doomcock goes off about Will Smith’s coarsening of culture and suppression of speech:
There remains doubt over whether the slap was real. Both of those involved are actors, both have had action movie roles; both could doubtless have faked this successfully. But it *looked* real… looked real enough that the intent was to make it seem real. If it had been done as a joke, it would have come off as a joke, but it comes off as exactly what it seems. But real or not, the intent was to show that if you say the wrong thing, it is valid for someone to try to physically harm you. This is a Bad Message, but it’s one that many extremists in society today can get behind. This incident, if Will Smith goes unpunished (as it seems he will), can only lead to more violence against not just standard comedians, but especially those who traffic in political humor.
At least there will be some good jokes to come from this:

I had alopecia. It absolutely sucks, no doubt. (Cured it through diet, exercise and PRP.)
Am I allowed to slap Will Smith for ‘After Earth’? That movie was absolutely terrible… pic.twitter.com/hYodUvwlBH

I don’t usually go in for religious iconography, but, hey.
St. Javelin / Saint Javelin
St. Javelin or Saint Javelin refers to an image of Madonna Kalashnikov (the Blessed Virgin Mary) holding a javelin missile that became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance during the 2021-2022 Russia-Ukraine conflict. Although the image is an exploited version of a 2012 painting, it was first re-edited and created in early 2018 on the Russian social media site VK where a user replaced the original AK-47 with a javelin missile. The image received an uptick in usage in February 2022 coinciding with the escalation of the conflict and invasion of Ukraine by Russia, effectively becoming a symbol of Ukrainian resistance on social media and resulting in lots of redraws and fan art. St. Javelin was also seen as controversial by some for promoting violence and the war at large.
And because why not, it’s funny:
I’m not exactly the target audience for high end shaving products; I buy my razors by the bag and rather than shaving cream I use soap. Because I’m cheap. But the ad below… it’s tempting.
I wish them well. A company with a sense of humor *and* which does not wish me any specific harm? These days, that’s rare.
Anyone who has watched videos from Ukraine – or, let’s face it, Russian dash cams – could be forgiven for thinking that the Ukrainian and Russian languages are composed of nothing but the sounds “blyat” and “suka” arranged in various artful ways to convey the full range of human ideas and emotions, stretching the gamut from “angry” to “enraged.”
English has that same capacity, as these two Indian fellers demonstrated. This is far and away the funniest thing I’ve seen in *days.*
And the captioned version:
And because why not:
Earlier today I started seeing people freaking out about this headline:
Here’s 5 Tik-Tok dances you can do to help Ukraine fight Russia
Such as:
TikTok dances ?? y’all can’t be serious pic.twitter.com/qrUXWSdlqJ

On one hand, that sounds insanely and unrealistically stupid. On the other hand, that’s exactly the sort of thing you might expect to see from clueless “influences” and other such ambulatory bipedal cancerous tumors. But before going nuts over how stupid it is, maybe it would make sense to actually try to find where it originates? Turns out it’s not that hard. After about four seconds on Google, the original source is found to be:
Here’s 5 Tik-Tok dances you can do to help Ukraine fight Russia
And what is “Cinch News Network?” From the bottom of their page:
About us
We are a super biased and undependable publication focused on furthering liberal policies in pursuit of a theoretical world where humans don’t act human.
I begin to suspect they just might be a satire site. But to be sure, let’s see what other stories they’re running:
Here’s why Ukraine citizens are good guys with guns, but you’re not
Hidden Federal gun control successfully passes, defeating sexism
Why white people owning dogs is racist
(Note: that last one I actually linked to a couple years ago, not grasping just what was going on…)
Here’s how God might be responsible for racism
White House considers hiring Stephen King to name the next 20 COVID-19 variants
So… yeah.
