Via Instapundit:

Australia Traded Away Too Much Liberty

And the government of South Australia, one of the country’s six states, developed and is now testing an app as Orwellian as any in the free world to enforce its quarantine rules. People in South Australia will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person. “We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,”

Note that the “people” referred to in the first sentence are those under home quarantine. But that’s not just people confirmed to have the virus (and oddly, “the virus” doesn’t include hepatitis or HIV) , it’s apparently anyone who has traveled beyond the borders of not just Australia, but the state of South Australia.

You know the authoritarians are salivating over the  possibilities of instituting such nonsense here in the US. I live on the border of two states; tens of thousands of people cross that border every day for work and school and shopping. Imagine if every crossing involved “papers please” and quarantines.

And so long as we’re on the topic of the Commie Cough, behold the Biden Bump:

Well, this looks bonkers:

This is from the feller what who done brung us “Independence Day,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “2012,” “Stargate,” etc., so the apparent determination to learn the laws of physics just to do the other thing is in full effect here.

And yes, I’ll be there day one.

This apparently has nothing to do with McDevitt’s “Moonfall,” which is a shame because I seem to remember it being pretty good.

The 1970’s saw a lot of airlines and airline manufacturers going to great lengths to economize, thanks in no small part to the spike in fuel prices and general economic downturn caused by the OPEC oil embargo. Some of this economizing came in the form of new “air bus” concepts to jam as many people as possible into mid-sized jetliners. Wide-bodied configurations were popular for that. McDonnell-Douglas proposed a new airliner in the mid-70’s that was derived from their long-range high capacity DC-10. The fuselage was cut short and stubby; the third turbofan at the base of the vertical tail was deleted. The wings and tail surfaces were all-new. This made it slightly more economical on a passenger-mile basis than the trijet, but also made it inappropriate for trans-oceanic flight since airlines were not yet ready to accept twin-jets for such routes. Intercontinental flight in twinjets would have to wait for the 777. McDonnell-Douglas figured that up to 278 passengers could be wedged into the available space… and that even more seats could be installed in the below-deck cargo bay.

Social Justice Warriors in the west can only *dream* of having such power:

China erases billionaire actress Zhao Wei from history

Ms. Wei appears to be a lot like Oprah Winfrey… took the profits from an acting gig, became a businesswoman, became a successful business woman, became an *insanely* successful business woman. But then she made the sort of Social Blunders that would get a western celebrity cancelled… but the ChiComs are *really* thorough.

I have fifteen five three zero remaining copies from the original fifty. They are all signed and dated and numbered, and come with two 18X24 poster-sized prints.  Yours for a flat $25, shipped via Media Mail within the US. If you are non-US, the price is sadly rather a lot higher… an extra $20, even if you are just a few feet across the Canadian border because the price of international postage really is that high these days.

When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Update: they’re gone.

This is of course still available on Amazon. Currently nine reviews, all five-star!

NERF guns finally get rid of the foam dart and go for the real thing: 9mm bullets. Sure, it’s a home-printed firearm, but it’s a dandy NERF gun too.

FGC-9 MK2 Nerf Edition

If you want one of these NERF guns of your own, the files are available here:

FGC-9 MkII File Package Release

It’s getting so that anyone can have a gun of their own, no matter how tyrannical their local government is.

The Taliban got this stuff for free, courtesy Joe Biden. but a lot of these things would get an American *arrested* and his life ruined if he was found to own one.

Sixty-four *thousand* machine guns. More than a third of a *million* assault rifles (real ones, not the semi-auto sporters Americans are occasionally allowed to buy). Artillery. Armored vehicles. Hummers. Fricken Herkybirds.

If the US government is giving machine guns to our enemies, their moral high ground for preventing *me* from owning one has evaporated. I have high hopes that this will be used in the Supreme Court to demonstrate that the government *really* doesn’t think that fully automatic weapons are a problem, and thus the NFA should be repealed.

This is hidden camera footage of this very fine gentleman, Gabriel Gipe, admitting to his intellectually corrupt and ethically bankrupt philosophies and goals for twisting childrens minds in his role as a teacher in the Inderkum High School in California. But the thing is… he advertises his communist ideology *openly,* with not only Antifa and Maoist propaganda on the walls of his classroom, they are tattooed all over him (not to mention the Hammer & Sickle shirt). He’s even got the INGSOC logo prominently displayed on his arm. “1984” was supposed to be a warning, not a users manual… but here we are, using taxpayer dollars to fund direct indoctrination and intimidation of our school children into the worst ideology to come around in the last thousand years.

Doubtless there’ll be a minor kerfuffle in the Natomas Unifed School District over this, and he might even be invited to explore new career options. but the thing is… he should have not been in that position in the first place. Other heads should roll for putting someone like that in a position like that. Imagine some other teacher hanging up a Confederate flag or a portrait of Hitler, and you get a fraction of the way towards the level of scumbag this guy represents.

But wait! There’s more!!!

There is at least a glimmer of hope, though:

Teacher who says she told kids to pledge to Pride flag removed from California class

“Removed during an investigation” is not quite as good as “fired, and we’ve contacted every other school in the country to warn them that this person has been abusing an untold number of impressionable children, and we’ve instructed all our other teachers and staff that this sort of insane and abusive behavior will not be tolerated.” But it’s at least a start.
