Another truth about engineers courtesy Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal:
And like the feller in the cartoon, I found that at no point in my education, career or post-career did anything I ever had to say about my engineering skills, talents, interests or abilities ever lead to a woman yelling anything remotely resembling “Take me now.”
See, that’s why so many engineers revere Montgomery Scott. He spent most of his time tinkering with a starship engine… and the rest of his time either getting smashed or scoring with the hot green chick (or both).

Women tend not to go after the engineering type. I remember in college, just by saying you were an engineering major would cause the women (and other college kids) to scatter. I learned to keep quiet when I was studying engineering in order to make friends.
They probably thought you were some sort of nerd,Jordan which used to
be the norm when I was growing up,too. Like I said on one of the other
blogs I was part of my high school’s aeronautics club which a few people
probably thought was for nerds, too but that seems to be the norm somewhat even now
according to my teenage godniece when she was back in her junior high days but oh well. Now that she is almost done with high school she wants to either be an architect or a pharmacist. It also depends on a
girl’s or woman’s way of thinking and what she wants out of a guy.
Oh yeah and let’s not forget how the orientals are treated and probably
still are but I heard on a TV show once that is not always the case with them
either.
Actually I was able to get my wife becuase I’m an engineer.
Build me one too Sean!
One thing I love about the University of Alabama in Huntsville is that most students are majoring in engineering.
Interestingly enough, male engineers do frequently find female engineers attractive.
Luckily for me (and apparently, Sean, above) the fact I was an engineer made me a better prospect for my missus as well. 25 years in it still apparently does. 🙂
Wish ladies got that crazy when they saw my tungsten ring.
