Well. at least down there it’s duckweed covering the surface; around here I’ve seen water that looks just like that from alga going around ten feet deep due to fertilizer running off the farmland into the water and killing whole lakes outside of the occasional crayfish scampering around on the dead brown-gray bottom ooze.
I think that’s duckweed, not algae. common mistake.
