Due out in November is the alien invasion movie “Skyline,” which was apparently shot by a couple of guys in a house and on a seriously small budget. However, since the guys happen to own a decent special effects company, it looks as if the effects will be pretty good. The trailer is on Youtube, and looks pretty promising.

I’ll watch for this.. Thanks.
At the other end of the spectrum is “Rednecks versus the Space Nazis.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC5dLSnyzAo
For some reason, I’m all excited about the L5 miniseries that hobbyspace has been touting: http://www.l5-series.com/
Floor Mat… thank you for the link. I’ll be checking that miniseries out.
I have Skyline on the list of movies to see. Another one to see:

Hmmm. I’m dubious regarding the engineering shown. For starters, the cylinders have *flat* endcaps. Structurally very, very bad. And the use of Hawking radiation for propulsion seems uncontrollable.
Yeah, “Monsters” looks like it might be good too, in a heavy-handed “political allegory for the poor downtrodden Mexican migrant” sort of way.
