I’ve been putting together some possible drawings for release on D-size sheets. These are as yet still far from finished, but they show what might be made available if there is interest.
———–
“A-4 Rockets.” Includes winged variants (1/48 scale) and A-10 variants (1/72 scale).
——-
“A-11/A-12 Conceptual Reconstructions” in 1/100 scale (A-11) and 1/200 scale (A-12)
————————
“A-12 Avenger II Configuration” these 1/48 scale drawings – something I started a few years back but sorta wandered off from – will include external configuration, wing sections, “fuselage sections,” weapons loads, etc.
————-
ICARUS/ROMBUS drawings(1/250 scale): Upper right (1/144 scale) will be an inboard profile.
————-
Project Pluto: includes different design studies (1/60 scale), booster options (1/48 scale), the baseline (or at least, best-defined, 1/32 scale) design, and related/competing designs(1/60 scale).
—————-
Sea Mistress: 1/144 scale general arrangment with 1/250 scale comparing SeaMistress to C-5, P6M, Martin seaplane fighter, others.
—————
Space Sortie designs (1/72 scale) from Boeing, GD, Rockwell, with to-scale comparisons and carrier aircraft (1/144 scale).
————–
Super Hustler & Related: scale comparison (1/144 scale) of related designs, with detailed drawings of Fish and Super Hustler (1/48 scale)
——————
These are the big D-sized sheets, as shown HERE. These will be substantially less expensive than the full-color blueprints. Some of them may be issued in two ways: as a single sheet (such as the to-scale comparisons of the Space Sortie vehicles), or as a “pack” (with all the other drawings). Packs will be less expensive on a per-page basis, but will be the only way to get the other pages.
Other possible drawings include:
1)the BWB collection (1/1000 scale)
2) Orion “Battleship”
3) SERJ-X-15
4) delta winged X-15A-3 (yes, I do have really good drawings of that)
5) Lockheed L-2000 SST
6) Boeing 2707 SST (-100, -200, -300)
7) Space Shuttle (I never have seen a really good set of clear diagrams of that along these lines)
8 ) X-20/Titan III
9) Convair NX-2 nuclear powered bomber
10) B-70 (including XB-70, B-70/X-15A-3, B-70/X-20, B-70 SST prototype, NAC-60 SST)
11) F-23 (including YF-23, F-23A, NATF-23, FB-23)
If you have an interest or a preference… let it be known.

Want.
Any chance of marketing 3d CGI files?
What, like Turbosquid?
Yeah, or the others. Some folks sell very high fidelity 3d models for hundreds.
Given you have some models odd vehicles you use to make 3d “prints” for physical models, there should be a market?
Why are my images all appearing as negatives?
All *your* images? Are you posting images somewhere?
Or do you mean the ones I posted as illustrations?
If the latter, those are simply screenshots of the CAD images. I prefer to work with a black background. They will of course print off with a white background.
Nice. When can I order?
Did I say I like space planes and “space Sortie” kinda stuff? š
Scott;
I’ve been asked by a freind as to what programs you use for your 3D and other illustrations?
Also, (and I apologize if I asked before ’cause I can’t seem to find any info) what kind of a 3D printer do you have for the parts and what programs are used with it?
I am currently trying to explain how 3D printing works to said friend… He’s a “mold” style model maker from way back and I can’t seem to get across to him :o)
(could be just me though)
Randy
I use an ancient version of AutoCAD for 2d; Rhino for 3D. As for the 3D printer, that’s outsourced. I’ve seen results from several different companies using several different printers, and the results are all over the place. One produced parts in an optically clear plastic that *almost* did not need any sanding. But the price was way up there. Come back in 5-10 years, though, and such quality might be possible out of “desktop” unit.
Ok that makes sense then, (wow, I’ve priced Rhino š I somehow had the impression that you were doing your own 3D printing too, not sure how that happened.
Since I know he’s going to ask, anyone you’d recomend for prototypeing figure type models?
Randy
I would buy:
A-12 Conceptual Reconstructions
ICARUS/ROMBUS drawings
Orion āBattleshipā
also NASA Orions, or any other nukes-in-space stuff, if you did them.
Hi Scott:
I especially like the B-70 goodies and the delta X-15, Lockheed L-2000, Boeing SST, NX-2 and F-23 items, in that order.
Thanks, Scott.
Paul
I’m interested in the following (in this order):

I would be interested in the A4 rocket and variants of it. For my senior term paper I wrote about the A-4, its development and testing at Kummersdorf, outside of Berlin and at Peenemunde in Mecklinburg-vorPommern.
I’m interested in any and all SST-related drawings.
In this order:

Convair NX-2
And as jcmiller says, “also NASA Orions, or any other nukes-in-space stuff, if you did them”
Thank you.
Scott,
I’m in for B-70 drawings, A-12, F-23, and Project Pluto if they are made available!
John

Regarding 3D models offered online. Maybe the most accessible and well done online collection can be found here:
http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/
I’ve bought a few models from them, telling myself I would actually create some cool scenes. Haven’t been satisfied with my stuff yet, and I’m lazier than I should be. ^^;
Excellent drawings. I would be interested in hypersonic transport concepts. I have a CD rom that you released on the Lockheed HST program. Drawings from there would be great.
I’m interested in the following:
A-11/A-12 conceptual reconstructions
A-12 Avenger II
ICARUS/ROMBUS SSTO

I’ll take the responses I’ve gotten so far and try to work out some sort of statistics. Doubt I’ll get anything useful, but you never know…
