Use technology. And have Hot Israeli Chicks operate it.

http://www.thenational.ae/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100713/FOREIGN/707129834/1002

It is called Spot and Shoot. Operators sit in front of a TV monitor from which they can control the action with a PlayStation-style joystick.

The aim: to kill.

Played by: young women serving in the Israeli army.

Spot and Shoot, as it is called by the Israeli military, may look like a video game but the figures on the screen are real people – Palestinians in Gaza – who can be killed with the press of a button on the joystick.

Another piece of hardware recently developed for the Israeli army is the Guardium, an armoured robot-car that can patrol territory at up to 80km per hour, navigate through cities, launch “ambushes” and shoot at targets. It now patrols the Israeli borders with Gaza and Lebanon.

Freakin’ AWESOME. The Israelies are surrounded and massively outnumbered; and systems like these will allow them to defend themselves with less risk to their own people’s lives.

  1. Well, so much for any arrests or trials for suspicious behavior, huh?
Congratulations to Israel for taking things to a level beyond even the Berlin Wall’s sniper positions.

  2. BTW, if you check a map and population figures, you will see it’s the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip that are surrounded by the Israelis and outnumbered by them by over 4-1, not the other way around:

  3. Yes Pat, we get it. Your god commands that you kill all those dirty Jooos.

Scott, my problem with this is the massive abuse of it by the genocidal racists on the political left. Look at Rwanda, they wiped out nearly half the population, with stuff like this they could really do some damage. Terror advocating mullahs around the world will hail it as a blessing from Allah for the war against all infidels.

  4. > Well, so much for any arrests or trials for suspicious behavior, huh?

A novel concept in warfare. I know that in the last nine or so years a lot of peoiple have been screaming that that’s the way the US should have been carrying out warfare, but based on the results of considering acts of war as purely criminal enterprises *before* 9-11… I’m unimpressed.

If you check a map and population figures, you will see that the population of Israel may be 7.6 million and the population of the Transjordanians who were abandoned by Jordan may be about 3 million… and the population of Jordan itself is 6.4 million, the population of Syria is 22 million, the population of Lebanon is 4+ million and the population of Egypt is 79 million. Now, I may be no lightning calculator, but it seems to me that Israels population is substantially less than that of the nations that immediately border it and which have in the past launched genocidal wars to kill every Israeli man, woman and child.

  5. > my problem with this is the massive abuse of it by the genocidal racists on the political left

The problem with that particular concern is that this system is expensive and limited. Compare the cost of a fixed robogun to that of some ill-educated goofball with a cheap AK-47, or the cost of a robocar with a Yugo with a ring mount.

Additionally, there is no such thing as a useful technical development that cannot be used for evil purposes. That’s not reason enough to stop innovating.

  6. Looks good to me. Efficient, effective, inexpensive. Think Rafael would charge too much to install in on the American southern border?

  7. So it is basically a rifleman on the fence with better eyesight and steadier aim? Its a tool and it doesn’t do anything without a man in a loop.

Worry about the user, not the tool.

    Jim

  8. “Congratulations to Israel for taking things to a level beyond even the Berlin Wall’s sniper positions.”

Oh? So you think that those who try to illegally cross the Israeli/Palestinian border are trying to escape from their repressive Muslim leaders to live peacefully in the Evil Zionist Entity? Or maybe you think we should stop patrolling the Mexican border, as trying to keep illegal immigrants out of our country is clearly a Berlin Wall-esque type scenario.

Israel does what it has to. That isn’t always pretty. My fear with systems like this though, is that killing will become too easy, will lose the sorrow that should be attached to it even in a case of war or self-defense, if one is able to do it by remote.

  9. <>

Lol. What genocidal wars? As if one holocaust isn’t enough, you need to invent even more fictitious ones?

  10. Apparently you’ve never heard of 1948, 1967 or 1973…

Even though the Arabs share many of the same goals and ideologies of the Nazis, they don’t seem to have inheirited the Nazis *competance.* The wars were genocidal despite the fact of the Arabs inability to carry out their dreams of pushing the Jews into the sea.

  11. If Israel ever does get around to doing their long-rumored attack on Iran, let’s see how well you like them when you are paying around $10.00 per gallon of gasoline for a few months.

  12. I suspect I won’t like the Iranians very much at all, it’s true. Along with the econazies who have prevented the development of nuclear power, on-shore and near-shore oil development and alternative petrochemical sources.

Or were you suggestign that I should dislike the only civilized nation in the Middle East because it defended itself from an existential threat?

  13. So, immigrants taking over a country, imposing their cultura and religion and displacing the country’s original inhabitants is something wonderful and cool as long as the inmigrants in question are jews and the inhabitants are muslim.

Oh, and if it’s someone else’s country, of course.

  14. > immigrants taking over a country

Blah, blah, blah. Take it up with Britain, circa 1948. Or Europeans circa sixteenth century in the New World. Or the newly arrived “Japanese” something like 1500 years ago, displacing the Ainu. Or the Angles and the Saxons, displacing the Britons. Or white people from central Asia displacing whoever the hell owned Europe around 5000 BC.

Once it’s a done deal and whole generations have lived there… it’s too damned late. The time to put up a fight is while you still have a valid claim to the property.

And when it comes to a crossroads location like Israel, do you *really* want to get in a fight about who the “original inhabitants” were?

  15. >Apparently you’ve never heard of 1948, 1967 or 1973…

    I have.

    > wars were genocidal despite the fact of the Arabs inability to carry out
    >their dreams of pushing the Jews into the sea.

So no genocidal acts at all by your own admission. And the Jews seem to share some Nazi goals and ideologies too, like the racial purity laws.

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/07/21/israel.rape.by.deception/index.html

  16. > So no genocidal acts at all by your own admission.

Ummm… *what?* Are you stupid or something? 1948, 1967 and 1973 saw Arab nations start wars with the express purpose of wiping out the Israelies. That’s *genocide.* The fact that they were too incompetant to succeed does not negate their motives or their goals.

As to your other idiotic point, “rape by deception” is illegal *lots* of places, as well it should be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_by_deception

  17. Wrong. The 1948 war was started by Arab nations under the pretense to protect Arab lives and property and saw no genocidal acts, even where the Arabs were not incompetent enough as to book some early successes. The 1967 war was started by Israel. The 1973 war was started by Arab nations mostly to get stolen territories back (Golan Heights for Syria, Sinai for Egypt).

And if every man that ever told a lie to get a woman in bed would be in jail, jail would probably be more populated with males than the outside world.

  18. > The 1948 war was started by Arab nations under the pretense to protect Arab lives and property

    “Pretense” being the operative word.

    > saw no genocidal acts

Because the Israelies put up a hell of a fight.

If you try to kill someone and they defend themselves and stop you… your failure does not mean that you didn;t try. The Arabs have been tryign to wipe out the Israelies for decades, but have so far not succeeded.

    > The 1967 war was started by Israel.

No. The anti-Israeli nations made it quite clear that they were preparing another attack to kill all the Israelies:

“On the eve of the war, Egypt massed approximately 100,000 of its 160,000 troops in the Sinai, including all of its seven divisions (four infantry, two armored and one mechanized), as well as four independent infantry and four independent armored brigades. … These forces had 950 tanks, 1,100 APCs and more than 1,000 artillery pieces.”

“Syria’s army had a total strength of 75,000 and amassed them along the Syrian border.[116] Jordan’s army had 55,000 troops,[117] including 300 tanks along the Jordanian border, 250 of which were US M48 Patton, sizable amounts of M113 APCs, a new battalion of mechanized infantry, and a paratrooper battalion trained in the new US-built school. They also had 12 battalions of artillery and six batteries of 81 mm and 120 mm mortars.”

“Documents captured by the Israelis from various Jordanian command posts record orders from the end of May for the Hashemite Brigade to capture Ramot Burj Bir Mai’in in a night raid, codenamed “Operation Khaled”. The aim was to establish a bridgehead together with positions in Latrun for an armored capture of Lod and Ramle. The “go” codeword was Sa’ek and end was Nasser. The Jordanians also planned for the capture of Motza and Sha’alvim in the strategic Jerusalem Corridor. Motza was tasked to Infantry Brigade 27 camped near Ma’ale Adummim: “The reserve brigade will commence a nighttime infiltration onto Motza, will destroy it to the foundation, and won’t leave a remnant or refugee from among its 800 residents”.[89]”

“100 Iraqi tanks and an infantry division were readied near the Jordanian border. Two squadrons of fighter-aircraft, Hawker Hunters and MiG 21 respectively, were rebased adjacent to the Jordanian border.”

The Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians and Iraqis were clearly planning an attack. The Israelies simply chopped their nuts off before they had the chance to slaughter millions of Israelies. The Arabs made their goals and intentions quite clear:

    Egypt

“Our aim is the full restoration of the rights of the Palestinian people. In other words, we aim at the destruction of the State of Israel. The immediate aim: perfection of Arab military might. The national aim: the eradication of Israel.” – President Nasser of Egypt, November 18, 1965

“Brothers, it is our duty to prepare for the final battle in Palestine.” – Nasser, Palestine Day, 1967

“Our basic objective will be the destruction of Israel. The Arab people want to fight . . . The mining of Sharm el Sheikh is a confrontation with Israel. Adopting this measure obligates us to be ready to embark on a general war with Israel.” – Nasser, May 27, 1967

“We will not accept any … coexistence with Israel. … Today the issue is not the establishment of peace between the Arab states and Israel …. The war with Israel is in effect since 1948.” – Nasser, May 28, 1967

“The armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon are poised on the borders of Israel . . . . to face the challenge, while standing behind us are the armies of Iraq, Algeria, Kuwait, Sudan and the whole Arab nation. This act will astound the world. Today they will know that the Arabs are arranged for battle, the critical hour has arrived. We have reached the stage of serious action and not declarations.” – Nasser, May, 30, 1967 after signing a defense pact with Jordan’s King Hussein

“We are now ready to confront Israel …. The issue now at hand is not the Gulf of Aqaba, the Straits of Tiran, or the withdrawal of UNEF, but the … aggression which took place in Palestine … with the collaboration of Britain and the United States.” – Nasser, June 2, 1967

“Under terms of the military agreement signed with Jordan, Jordanian artillery co-ordinated with the forces of Egypt and Syria is in a position to cut Israel in two at Kalkilya, where Israeli territory between the Jordan armistice line and the Mediterranean Sea is only twelve kilometers wide … .” – El Akhbar newspaper, Cairo, May 31, 1967

    Cairo Radio Statements:

May 19, 1967: “This is our chance Arabs, to deal Israel a mortal blow of annihilation, to blot out its entire presence in our holy land”

May 22, 1967: “The Arab people is firmly resolved to wipe Israel off the map”

May 25, 1967: “The Gulf of Aqaba, by the dictum of history and the protection of our soldiers, is Arab, Arab, Arab.”

May 25, 1967: “Millions of Arabs are … preparing to blow up all of America’s interests, all of America’s installations, and your entire existence, America.”

May 27, 1967: “We challenge you, Eshkol, to try all your weapons. Put them to the test; they will spell Israel’s death and annihilation.”

May 30, 1967: “With the closing of the Gulf of Akaba, Israel is faced with two alternatives either of which will destroy it; it will either be strangled to death by the Arab military and economic boycott, or it will perish by the fire of the Arab forces encompassing it from the South from the North and from the East.”

May 30, 1967: “The world will know that the Arabs are girded for battle as the fateful hour approaches.”

    Jordan

“All of the Arab armies now surround Israel. The UAR, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Yemen, Lebanon, Algeria, Sudan, and Kuwait. … There is no difference between one Arab people and another, no difference between one Arab army and another.” – King Hussein of Jordan, after signing the pact with Egypt May 30, 1967

    Iraq

“The existence of Israel is an error which must be rectified. This is our opportunity to wipe out the ignominy which has been with us since 1948. Our goal is clear – to wipe Israel off the map. We shall, God willing, meet in Tel Aviv and Haifa.” – President Abdel Rahman Aref of Iraq, May 31, 1967

    Palestinians

“D-Day is approaching. The Arabs have waited 19 years for this and will not flinch from the war of liberation.” – Ahmed Shukairy, Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization, May 27, 1967

“This is a fight for the homeland – it is either us or the Israelis. There is no middle road. The Jews of Palestine will have to leave. We will facilitate their departure to their former homes. Any of the old Palestine Jewish population who survive may stay, but it is my impression that none of them will survive.” – Shukairy, June 1, 1967

“We shall destroy Israel and its inhabitants and as for the survivors – if there are any – the boats are ready to deport them.” – Shukairy, June 1, 1967, speaking at a Friday sermon in Jerusalem

    Syria

Syria’s forces are “ready not only to repulse the aggression, but to initiate the act of liberation itself, and to explode the Zionist presence in the Arab homeland. The Syrian army, with its finger on the trigger, is united…. I as a military man, believe that the time has come to enter into a battle of annihilation.” – Syrian Defense Minister Hafez Assad, May 20, 1967

“Our two brotherly countries have turned into one mobilized force. The withdrawal of the UN forces … means ‘make way, our forces are on their way to battle.'” – Foreign Minister Makhous on his return from Cairo

    Others

“The freedom of the homeland will be completed by the destruction of the Zionist entity and the expulsion of the Americans and the British from the region.” – Algerian Prime Minister Houari Boumedienne

“We want war. War is the only way to settle the problem of Israel. The Arabs are ready.” – Yemeni Foreign Minister Salam

    >The 1973 war was started by Arab nations mostly to get stolen territories back (Golan Heights for Syria, Sinai for Egypt).

Stolen? Don’t you mean “lost in the armistice?”

If Egypt hadn’t wanted to lose Sinai, then they probably shouldn’/t have stationed a hundred thousand troops there and threatened to use them to kill all the Israelies.

    >And if every man that ever told a lie to get a woman in bed would be in jail, jail would probably be more populated with males than the outside world.

If you can’t get someone to have sex with you without lying to them, then you shouldn’t have sex with them.

I’m still waiting for some evidence of Nazi-like “racial purity laws” from the Israelies.

  19. >Because the Israelies put up a hell of a fight.

You probably purposely failed to address the part “even where the Arabs were not incompetent enough as to book some early successes.” More convenient to hide behind Arab incompetency as single point of defense in your rethoric.

    >No. The anti-Israeli nations made it quite clear that they were preparing another attack to kill all the Israelies

All the same, Israel started the war, preemptive or not. Regarding the build up:

    >Israel subsequently claimed it had taken preemptive action because it believed an Egyptian attack was imminent,[d] despite the fact that its own intelligence assessment was that, given Israel’s military superiority, such an attack was highly unlikely; an assessment shared by the U.S. intelligence community.[e] Egypt denied planning to attack Israel, saying the Israeli strike was not preemptive but an unwarranted and illegal act of aggression.[f] Jordan, which had signed a mutual defence treaty with Egypt on May 30, then attacked western Jerusalem and Netanya.[18][19][g]

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six-Day_War

Doesn’t seem like your claim of ‘clearly planning an attack’, a view shared by your own intelligence community, even if that one admittedly has been notoriously wrong, as in the case of Iraqi WMD, which is another story however. Further some easy quotes of which only some indicate the desire to eradicate the state of Israel off the map, which is not inherently equal to annihilating the Israeli populace in another massive gemocide.

    >Stolen? Don’t you mean “lost in the armistice?”

UN regulations of war, which your country falsely used and twisted as pretext for the second Iraq war, another issue again, prohibits waging war for territorial gain. And before you start any rants about the evil Oooo N, the basis of that premise was the Atlantic Charter between the US and UK http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_Charter By your logic, even the first Iraq war was unjustified for the US as it might as well be argued that Kuwait just “lost” its territory fair and square in a conflict they started by cross drilling, stealing Iraqi oil and selling it underpriced on the international market, ruining Iraq’s already disastrously run economy.

    >If you can’t get someone to have sex with you without lying to them, then you shouldn’t have sex with them.

I’ll agree to that, but to put legal consequences on that one might question where to draw the line. As I’ve said, if every man that ever told a lie to get a woman into bed was jailed, jails might become a lot more populated.

    >I’m still waiting for some evidence of Nazi-like “racial purity laws” from the Israelies.

The case just has a nasty smell of it. I’m just trying to argument that your black of white view of the evil Palestinians and the lamb led to the slaughter innocence of Israelis seems just a little bit too simple and naive. To say the least, it seems to have a smell of racism based on hatred of islam and whichever populace practices it.

  20. > More convenient to hide behind Arab incompetency as single point of defense in your rethoric.

Please. The Arabs outnumber the Israelies by on the order of a hundred to one, and have tried multiple times to eradicate them. And in none of those wars has the US or anyone else come riding to the rescue. So, you’re left pretty much with two options:
    1) The Arabs have been incompetant in their wars of genocide
    2) The Israelies are truly Chosen of God.

    #1 seems the more likely.

    > Further some easy quotes of which only some indicate the desire to eradicate the state of Israel off the map, which is not inherently equal to annihilating the Israeli populace in another massive gemocide

    Snort.

“I want to push you out of this airplane at 15,000 feet without a parachute, but that doesn’t mean I want to kill you.”

    > UN regulations of war, …, prohibits waging war for territorial gain.

Then you’d perhaps do well to have a word with the “Palestinians.” They’ve been waging war with the intent to gain terriroty for decades. On the whole they’ve gotten their asses handed to them, and have lost terriroty in the process.

As I’ve repeatedly mentioned before, I’m all in favor of a “Land For Peace” process. For every Israeli killed in a Palestinian terror attack against civilians, the Palestinians forfeit one square kilometer. Soon, Great Israel will encompass Cairo and Damascus.

    > it seems to have a smell of racism based on hatred of islam

Ah, the all-purpose “racism” charge. Apparently you’re not American. That’s ok, ain’t nobody perfect. But being non-American, perhaps you’ve failed to notice that we’re stopping giving a damn every time some leftist jackass screams “Racist!”

So scream “Racist!” all you like. I don’t care. The fact that you think that Islam is a race rather than a political universalist religion makes it all the less powerful of a claim.

  21. You purposely avoid addressing AGAIN there were no genocidal actions even where Arabs booked initial successes, instead focusing on the straw man argument as if somehow I claim the Arab nations were competent at fighting. I didn’t.

    >Then you’d perhaps do well to have a word with the “Palestinians.” They’ve been waging war with the intent to gain terriroty for decades. On the whole they’ve gotten their asses handed to them, and have lost terriroty in the process.

Regain their own territory you’ll mean. Anyway, not that I expect understanding from Americans – who seem to somehow think they are the native population in their own country – on that item. I’ve seen your other posts about immigrants. The indigenous population in the US suffered much the same fate as the Palestinians.

    >So scream “Racist!” all you like. I don’t care. The fact that you think that Islam is a race rather than a political universalist religion makes it all the less powerful of a claim.

I said it smelled of racism, I’m still in doubt whether it actually is and I know you don’t give a damn what people think of you or your country anyway. And I said that you don’t like any populace that practices it. Discriminating entire populations on their dominant faith IS racism, I’ve noticed in these and other posts of yours about Arabs. Fun fact for you: the majority of Arabs in the US are christians.

  22. > You purposely avoid addressing AGAIN there were no genocidal actions even where Arabs booked initial successes

Sorry, but that’s a *lie* on your part. I’ve addressed the fact that the wars that have been waged against Israel have been for the purposes of genocide. Sorry that you refuse to recognize reality.

    > The indigenous population in the US suffered much the same fate as the Palestinians.

Ah. And thus I can infer that you would wish upon the population of the United States much the same fate you would wish upon the population of Israel: extermination.

    > Discriminating entire populations on their dominant faith IS racism

    Religion ain’t race, dumbass.

    > Fun fact for you: the majority of Arabs in the US are christians.

The majority of Arabs in the US aren’t in Egypt or Jordan or Syria, and are thus not part of the discussion. Thej fact that you cannot make this distinction clearly points out that *you* see people as defined by their racial or ethnic groups, thus markign you as a racist.

Say hello to the “blacklist.” Someone who wants to see Americans wiped out is ill-placed at this blog. There are some anti-American far Left/Fascist (but then, I repeat myself) discussion fora where you’d be far more comfortable
