Feb 262010

February has seen a decline in commenting, a dropoff in the otherwise linear trend in site visits, and a *massive* drop in business. As in holy crap I’m doomed levels of dropoff. New products have gone over like tungsten balloons, old ones have screeched to a halt. So… is the “blueprint” below a full-color scan of an actual blueprint? A colorized version of a grayscale blueprint? Or a wholly invented product of my own fevered, underfunded imagination?

Who can  say? WHO, damnit???

  1. I’m calling fake.

  2. I sent you a email regarding my thoughts about this.

  3. French origin, and the name Servanty comes to mind when looking at the tail.

  4. I like the blue print approach, along with the black line method too. Persevere!

    Enjoy the Day! Mark

  5. Real or not, that thing looks like one helluva ride! Especially for that poor SOB strapped in that little pod there on the fin. Ye haw! Kick the tires and light the fires – let’s go!

there allot French and German study in 1950s and 1960s of
Tailsitter with the pilot in a prone position.

sadly i can’t read the text on Blue print jpg
    wat is written there ?

  7. I never have any money in February. I used to be very interested in the problems of businesses, when I was a computer geek. Then I met a woman who could explain it all. She had decided that February was the root of all evil. It was, she asserted, at least 60 days long, offered the worst weather, and blithely damned karma randomly. Damn. I’m glad we got *that* explained.

  8. Putting the guy in the pod was one of the alternatives suggested for the XFY-1. Offhand, I don’t recall from a Convair design an extra intake ramp for the engine. I’m not sure I believe it’s from Convair.

    What’s the answer, Scott?
