Dated 10-13-45, this bit of artwork is all I have on the Bell D-35. Clearly a single seat jet or rocket driven aircraft. Beyond that… shrug.

  1. Looks like a first-generation response to the captured German aeronautical data on delta wings.
    Given the small size overall (going by the pilot size shown) and apparent lack of armament, is this possibly some sort of test aircraft to check out the advantages of the delta wing?
    The exhaust area at the tail resembles some of the German designs with a jet engine that has a liquid-fueled rocket engine attached atop it, like the BMW 003R.
