Similar to the North American Aviation shuttle of 1971, here’s the McDonnell-Douglas Phase B “alternate approach” Orbiter layout. Note the four J-2S engines.

I see they figured out a way for the airlock to be even further away from the cargo bay than in the North American one. 🙂
You sure better hope you don’t damage that nose cap on docking with something.
The extensible windshield covers are a interesting touch.
