From the Washington Examiner:
For example, 21 percent of Republicans report that they have been in touch with someone who is dead, while 36 percent of Democrats say they have done so. Eleven percent of Republicans say they have seen a ghost, while 21 percent of Democrats say so. And nine percent of Republicans say they have consulted a fortuneteller, while 22 percent of Democrats have. … When Pew asked respondents whether they have had a religious or mystical experience, 50 percent of Republicans said yes, as did 50 percent of Democrats.
Oy.

Everyone’s gotta believe in something.
By the way, how did Pew define “Republican” and “Democrat”?
>Everyone’s gotta believe in something.
While true, it’s sad that more do not believe in rationality.
I think some of the best comments appended to the original article were along the lines of, “Of course Dems see dead people, how else would they sign them up to vote?” This probably means that if you compared Dems from different cities, that Chicago and D.C. would hold the highest percentages of Dems who had seen dead people 🙂

Democrat, obviously.
I don’t know about this poll; it says only 11% of Republicans claim to have seen a ghost, but Fox News had interviews with the Teabaggers who marched on Washington DC, and a lot of them said there was a spook in the Whitehouse. 😉
