Even so, something about it also seems kinda skillfull.

Accident: Transnorthern DC3S at Anchorage on Dec 8th 2021, engine failure and gear up landing

In short, engine failure right after takeoff and landing gear retraction. Pilot felt that the added drag of deployed landing gear would prevent him from making the runway, so he landed gear-up.
