As mentioned previously, the Swiss have voted to ban the construction of new minarets. One Swiss feller seems to disagree:

A Swiss businessman appalled by his fellow countrymen’s decision to ban minarets has extended a chimney above his company building into a minaret in protest.

The businessman, who is not a Muslim, explained that the he had constructed the mock minaret at his building near western Switzerland’s city of Lausanne in protest, and at the same time, to “send a message of peace.”

On the one hand, I gotta applaud this guy’s willingness to say “up yours” to laws he thinks are goofy and wrong. On the other hand, I gotta wonder if he’s really thought this through. Consider: his fake minaret currently looks like this:

Sure, it looks cute. But it is, after all, a chimney… and winter is coming. How exactly is the Religion Of Peace going to respond when they see one of their holy places ON FIRE?

  1. Thing is, the Swiss people were allowed to vote (which isn’t so common anymore in Europe these days) and said no to more minarets. And I think that’s a good sign.

The left wing in Switzerland and the rest of Europe is screaming and crying over it. That guy in particular is just as wonky as the left wing.

A lot of people complain that the Swiss are now violating human rights and what not. But building minarets (which are, if we believe a certain Turkish prime minister, the bayonets of the followers of islam -while the mosques are their army barracks) is not a human right. The same people who complain about the vote of the Swiss people are usually silent when it comes to the oppression of non-muslims in islamic countries.

I’m 100% sure that this “brave” businessman (who’s really nothing else but your typical dhimmi from next door, and as usual dhimmis know NAFT about islam) is 100% silent when it comes to muslim human rights violations (which happen in all muslim countries ona daily basis.) I don’t see him protesting against the murderous Iranian regime assaulting peaceful protestors, for example.

The people spoke. If he doesn’t like it he can move to France 2.0, which is also named Germany.

  2. Let me guess! This “swiss” “business” man is a foreign national of Muslim descent? Do I get a koopie doll or a chest to pin it to?

  3. Ahem: “The businessman, who is not a Muslim…”

  4. He’s a dhimmi. One of those brainwashed by the “elite” into believing that islam is peace, that we need it to “enrich our societies and cultures” and that it’s a good thing.
