RARE BOEING JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER DESK MODEL PROTOTYPE!
Here is a S-U-P-E-R and I really do mean super RARE desk top model of the never produced Boeing JSF Joint Strike Fighter! What makes this one rare? This 1:48 scale desk top model was not made from a kit, and not a mass produced factory made model, no. This is a urethane, hand made prototype made in the Boeing model shop. It comes in it’s original Boeing box, and did I mention how scarce this type of model is? This is the only one, and is being offered here at NO reserve! I had to seriously pry this out of friends collection recently by trading three of my models for this one rarity.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I actually got involved in some email with a guy on the Boeing JSF team a few years back, and told him that although it would great with a shark’s mouth painted on the sides of the intake, the overall design looked like someone hade taken a nice looking aircraft and welded a cast-iron bathtub onto its bottom.
He agreed that it was pretty awful looking, and said its test pilot was overheard saying:
“How the hell do you expect me to get laid flying something that looks like _that_?” 🙂
Tell him to be creative. It’s not like he has to bring the aircraft to the bar with him. The chance that he’ll actually want to sleep with a woman who knows what the F-35 looks like from memory is pretty remote.
Brianna;
“Remote” but not zero… We are talking women who are on-or-near Edwards AFB after all :o)
The rather sad part as I understand it is that the intake used wasn’t anything like the actual intake designed for the aircraft and was basicly “stuck” on there to get the prototype flying.
