‘Farout!’ Newfound Object Is the Farthest Solar System Body Ever Spotted

It’s pinkish in color (likely indicating an icy composition), about 500 km in diameter and currently about 120 AU out. This is further from the sun than any other object so far detected, though other objects that are currently closer (such as Sedna) have elliptical orbits that go further out.
