The other two men convicted of the airline plot at Woolwich Crown Court were Assad Ali Sarwar, 29, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and Tanvir Hussain, 28, of Leyton, East London.
They and Ahmed Ali, from Walthamstow, were found guilty by a majority of
11 to one of conspiring to murder by detonating improvised explosive devices on transatlantic jets.The jury deliberated for 54 hours at the end of a six-month retrial.
The jury at a previous trial had failed to reach a verdict on the trio over the airline plot but found them guilty of conspiracy to murder.
All three will be sentenced on Monday and face life behind bars.
