I shot a few extremely brief videos of the kittens downstairs, using my Canon SD960 camera. It makes nice videos, but, damn, the filesizes are *huge.* I suppose if I had more incentive and enthusiasm I’d go and get me a YouTube account or something. But…. meh.
Edit: what the hell. Got me one of them there YouTube thingies.

Noisy little buggers! I take it that Fingers is doing well, her kittens certainly are.

Seems to be. Looks terrible, but acts as if all is well. No sign of infection that I can see/smell. Certainly taking care of the kids, though she tries to bolt every time I open a door…
would setting the framesize smaller increase the time of the video? You could quiclly build up a fan base by making a movie of your cat pictures and stories of each, then add a sound track. That’s how many videos are done and i would bet you’d have a great way to get donations. If you capture video as well as your pics you might get lucky and have one that goes viral so even if 100,000 viewers only donated a quarter, that’d be $25,000 that’s alot of Cat chow!!
I like your animal shots as well. I have the shots of the two horses that I think are way better than that cow shot that won the contest. I also have some pictures of deer in tall grass that shows how well they blend in with their surrondings, but I can’t remember if that’s yours.
Chad Slattery started out writing and taking pics for Sunset magazine and that evolved into doing work for Air and Space. He’s had tons of covers and photo spreads over the years and you could do the same with all the pics and info you have on your projects.
If not for anything else, it’d be a great free way of advertising your stuff!
