On a few mountaintops around here are some odd billboard-looking structures. Now that I have the zoom lens, I can get some decent photos. Shown below is the setup on a peak just to the east of Logan, Utah. It looks like two billboards facing each other, but that’s obviously silly. Is it some sort of communications array? Radar? Perhaps the two “boards” really do face each othe, and the are measuring some quality of the air between them?

  1. I would say they are part of a radar navigation system. Perhaps old, or experimental. All kinda interesting and odd things scattered about that part of the country.

  2. Some kind of Zero Point energy collector for a subterranean complex. 🙂

  3. It’s that anti-missile laser/abandoned drive-in from SPIES LIKE US.

  4. I’ve seen something similar in Japan, save that there was only one of them.

Something for bouncing a signal over the mountain range? Signal gets bounced off the one on the left, hits the one on the right and down it goes.

  5. strange, something simelar i see on google earth looking on Area 51.
there several of those “billboard” on Hills and mountaintops around Groom Lake

those places in Utah are they Miliary areas ?

    • No where near any military bases. The closest is Hill AFB but its 80 miles away. Logan is just a small town nestled up against the hills in a valley.

  6. There’s one on the top of a hill just right in Naples (Italy), it is very closer to the Wind Tunnel of Engineering Dept. of the University of Naples “Federico II”.

I just wondered about what could be such odd thing like a Drive In screen on the top of small hill (not the highest one exisiting in Naples anyway).

  7. Microwave repeaters. No big conspiracy here. Move on…

  8. There is another one just below them at 5:00. It has a giant smiley face painted on it. There is also the same set up of these two “billboards” on a peak on the Brigham City side of Sardine Canyon (on the Wellsvilles.) I fly over them every time I go down to Salt Lake and have tried descending down low to get a good look. Still don’t know what they are.
