So I spent several hours driving hither and yon today, from something like 11AM to 4 PM. Most of that time the car radio was on NPR. I kinda expected them to fall on the “the election last night was bad news” side of things and, man, they did not disappoint. I think every person they interviewed was opposed to Trump. Which is odd because, y’know, right about half the voting public voted 8for* Trump. You’d think they could find one person who was happy about the state of things… but noooooooo. Everything was “o noes, I’m so afraid.”
It was, in a word, hilarious.
Did I support Trump? Or vote for him? Or believe him to be competent or temperamentally fit for the job? No, no, no and no. Am I happy that he’ll be the next Prez? Nope yet again. But listening to these yahoos dribble on about how terrified they are… things like this:

… was incredibly satisfying. After years of social justice warriors and PC fascists controlling the debate and getting everything they wanted, it’s schadenfreudelicious to listen to them howl with panic over things that are not going to happen. In a way, it was the years of these people freaking out over every damn thing that made Trump inevitable.
Do you think that Trump is going to “go to war” with your groupthink hivemind category of person? Then chances are pretty good that you are at fault for Trump being where he is.
Go ahead. Call whites racist – that’ll boost Trump. Call all Christians teh dum… guess what – more Trump. Anyone who opposes sharia law or wants immigration laws enforced or the US government to focus more on aiding our own workers is necessarily either stupid or evil? Guess what… you have just invoked Trump. Go ahead and keep insulting a sizable fraction of the public that doesn’t share your particular fetish, and you’ll only annoy them to the point where they’ll support the loudest loudmouth who says he doesn’t like you.
