The Most Disappointing Travel Destinations on Earth

1. Los Angeles: ‘The whole city is a lie’

2. The Pyramids: ‘Stayed 15 minutes’

3. Stonehenge: ‘Very anticlimactic’

4. Paris: ‘Worst city on earth’

5. Venice: ‘A gigantic tourist trap’

6. Dubai: ‘Smoke and mirrors’

7. Jamaica: ‘I will never go back’

8. Bali: ‘Every beach sucks’

Basically, places that are well known “tourist destinations” just plain suck, I guess. Color me stunned. That’s why I prefer vacations that are “get in the car, pick a direction and see what’s out there.”

I found the comment that “LA is a lie” pretty funny, given that much of the city is based on professional lying, i.e. Hollywood and associated industries.
